Yes to more knitting content please. I’m so impressed that you knit in 2 ply yarn. Your cardigans are so beautiful and fine and I’m very impressed that you just knit things up without a pattern and change things up if you do. I really love your colour work sleeveless pullover and you also wear a green Aran cardigan quite often which I admire.

"It takes a long time to knit anything in 2 ply yarn. And I never knit anything unless it is worth taking a long time to knit" said Treebeard while showing off his mithril cardigan at the Knitmoot, probably. Love all of it! So nice to see you make knitting content as well, I devour all your sewing videos the moment I see you upload one!

Love the cropped length, too. Or high hip. Just more flattering, especially if I make something oversized in the shoulders, it still doesn’t look sloppy to me if it is slightly cropped. Your light summer sweaters are so practical in that weight and length. They have a retro look that makes them quite au currant! I am here from the sewing but appreciate knitting as it a part of every wardrobe! ❤❤❤ Suzanne

Thank you! Yes, I like a cropped top and as you say, very flattering in a 'sloppy' style :-)

And for centuries people had knitted stockings and just hold them up with a ribbon. I myself did this with thrifted vintage stockings in my younger days and that was comfortable and worked well. Mostly they tied just under the knee but you could tie above as well. I look forward to seeing the end results.

@@cornwallpocketfarmthere's a knitted garter pattern from the Victorian era that works really well. And yes hand knitted stocks until the 1700s when the circular sock knitting machine was invented! I too work in small needle sizes and like thinner yarns. Currently working on a 1950s short sleeves sweater. Enjoying the videos.

Love the cardigans and totally understand the slow knitter idea. That is how I seem to be with sewing and crotchet..... not 6 months, but Im at 1.5 months on the skirt Im working on.

Thank you for this video. all of your knitting is very well done. I would love to see the garments worn, only because I am sure they look great and I am interested in how you style them. I always look forward to your videos.

I really liké crazy knits ! I also rarely follow a pattern, in French or not (😂), I sometime follow the Stitch but not the form, or the colourwork but in a completely garment. It is very enjoyable when it works and totally unique.

Fabulous knitting. I live in Western Victoria Australia so would need to wear two 2ply garments at a time (or maybe 3 😁).

New Zealand is not just Auckland. I lived in Central Otago with -22 ‘ winters, so wore a lot of DK and bulky knits. Love the 2 ply and 4 ply knits, but would not have been practical in the winter, summer knits only. Thank you for showing us your lovely knits.

I just knit a finer weight yarn in a delightful color, a sock.😂😂 tried it on and wore the one around the house because I was skeptical of the yarn. Sure enough it was a big NO. So I'm going to find a different project for that little bit. It was awful. But live and learn.😂😂

Loved the knitting! I’m very close to finishing Handmade by Florence’s Petal Drop Socks knitted on 2.25mm needles in the most beautiful yarn Regia Premium Silk (55%wool, 25% polyamide, 20% silk). The socks are super soft and leightweight and I’m looking forward to trying them out. The pattern has a fabulous heel and I’d definitely recommend it. I also love lightweight vneck waist length cardigans. In fact this weekend I was sorting out my summer/winter wardrobe transition and was over the moon to find a navy short sleeved, v neck, waisted cardigan that I thought I’d lost somewhere over the summer, literally yelled for joy!

Is the fine yarn from Colormart? I wear wool socks year round in South Africa - not obviously every day when it gets to 38, but even in hot weather sneaker socks aren’t too warm for me. The idea of trying very thin socks is appealing, though. I’d go down to 1,5mm I think, as I knit normal sock yarn on 2.25mm. And it would take longer, as I have now speeded up so a pair of socks takes less than 10 days, and that means I have to start new projects so often
