Wow wow wow!🥰 You are a real Artist! I must have watched you before as I am a subscriber. Nevertheless KZbin doesn’t show some of these KZbinrs. So it was luck to find you again. I know it’s an older video, but maybe you still read some comments. This comment only tells you that I am blown away from all the things you sewed. And I will directly start watching more. As I am not a native English speaker I don’t understand everything as the sewing language often is a language you don’t hear or speak and understand very often. But please let me tell you, that I adore all those clothes and I am looking forward -very much - to watching more from you! Deep greetings (can I say this?) from Europe. And I am probably so happy to come to the US next month (you are from there.?) and then can buy a few patterns and fabrics which are too expensive to order them from the US to my country😢. Take care and stay healthy and happy💕

I just found your channel and I am so impressed with your makes and pattern designing abilities. The rib cage levi hacked jeans look awesome on you. Recently i paid a fortune for some Eileen Fischer tan pants and am inspired to hack them It should be a lot easier than jeans. One of my favorite dresses is the mccall's 7969. I reduced the sleeve volume and lined the bodice on mine. It's very interesting to see the multiple ways you use a single pattern.
@PatternScout2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! Oh yes, I think Eileen Fisher styles would be SO easy to copy--lots of clean lines and minimal silhouettes. That McCall's 7969 is one of my new faves! Love everything! But especially that blue wrap dress. Oh my goodness. Awesome. Looks so beautiful on you. I'm scared of wrap tops, just because I never feel confident they'll fit/sit right. I've tried a few, with semi-success but nothing I'm comfortable wearing out all day. Maybe I'll try again this year. You've definitely inspired me to try. :)

Thank you so much! The last time i wore that dress was in the summer--i forgot how much I loved it! My fabric choice, while kind of a pain to sew with, was good for the fit too I think: a crinkle rayon with just a tiny bit of stretch/give so I could get it snug at the bust and waist. Not gonna lie, I was kinda regretting not making the pattern a wrap style after this video 😅

I totally get that! I am lucky to have a JoAnn Fabrics near me and another small indie fabric store. Although, I do end up ordering online a lot (once i started sewing more regularly, choosing fabric online was easier). Based on the drawing on the envelope I would have never guessed that they would actually be super cute. I have to make a pair now. Question for you, how many inches did you add to your pattern to make them the length you cut out? I feel like that was the perfect length.
@PatternScout2 жыл бұрын
Yes that pattern is so simple and great! I have two pairs of pants and one pair of shorts that I live in during the summer! I can't remember how much length I added, maybe 13 inches? I know they were longer before I hemmed them and I just tried them on to figure out how much to trim (I always add way more length than I need and then trim...tall people probs!! 😅). Thanks so much for watching!!

@84amward2 жыл бұрын
What is your favorite weight/type of linen to use?
@PatternScout2 жыл бұрын
It just depends on the project...for tops I like light weight, maybe under 5 oz. and for bottoms I like something a little heavier so it is less see through. :) I also like linen blends (linen/rayon for ex) because they feel nice and have a nice drape.
