What a delightful escape for me this morning. Your new doll is beautiful. Pleasant Surprise is on my wish list. The fashions you've sewn are amazing. I can't believe you made that hat. It is perfection. It was nice to see all the girls lined up next to each other. It helps me to appreciate their similarities and differences. I am an avid quilter and I enjoyed seeing your patchwork in your display today, along with that adorable doll house case your made. Claire, this was a grand video and thank you for sharing everything with us this morning.

Thank you so much Elizabeth, it’s wonderful to hear that you are a quilter also. I will try to include more of my quilts in the future, however this simple squared quilt in muted colours is one of my favourites. Thank you for watching. x

I think that Pleasant Surprise may be my favorite of all of the dolls, I can see why you fell in love, she is beautiful! I am so pleased to see this video, well, all of your videos, I live the Blythe life vicariously through you. As you have shown your other dolls throughout the video posing with Pleasant Surprise, I have changed my mind, all of the dolls are my favorite! Your sewing is so meticulous, I am very impressed with sewing such tiny things. I have enjoyed your makes from the sewing book, and your makes with Hilary. Thank you so much sharing, Laurie

Thank you so much for your kind comments Laurie. I really appreciate that you watched my video, even though you don’t collect Blythe dolls yourself. I’m currently working on two makes that aren’t for dolls. So hopefully I can bring a stitch diary video in the near future. x

Thank you so much Julie. You may be happy to hear, I traced another outfit out from this book yesterday. I plan to make something for my next stock Blythe girl to arrive. I’m going to check my stash for fabric today. I hope that I find suitable fabrics. Ha ha, I could go on and on about Blythes all day also, my husband is going to busy for 4 hours today, what doll fun I can have. lol x

Lovely lovely lovely! 🤎💫🤎💫 I really enjoyed your music choice too, so la Parisienne 🎶!!! How's the etsy shop coming along? I can see youll make a great success at Blythe con should you manage to secure a stall 🤞 I marvel at all the gorgeous (and fiddly 🤭) makes you create, so many beautiful garments and accessories. Dressing the dolls is the most fun part, especially if theyre handmade 🌟 I love it when one of your episodes pop up! Oh and i loved your last one too, as always i watched it really late 🌃 and didnt manage to comment that time...bed was calling!

Bless you Rowan. No worries, about not commenting last time. I must admit, I can’t get the song out of my head, I love it, I keep humming it to myself around the house. ha ha. Oh Rowan, dressing them in clothes I’ve made, makes my heart sing. I had been eager the new makes on a doll, but I waited for this video, so you were hearing my first reaction to seeing them on the first time. Thank you so much for watching, and I hope that you are well. xx

Oh Rowan, Regarding a stall, I am finding that I would need years to get enough things made to do one. Having my quirky family, really takes up a lot of time. Even when I’m not physically doing things for them, I’m on hand to listen to them, bless them. Trying to start a business has made me realise, having a job right now is impossible in my situation, but it’s a nice idea. x

@@ClaireWhoMakesThings Family comes first and even when they're grown up and moved on in the world, you may well eventually have grandchildren to make things for!! Never enough time is there 😄 unless you go full pelt at everything and cram too much in, and that doesn't do anyone any good at all 🤯 It would still be rewarding and manageable to accept custom orders as it suits, like the knits you made for Elizabeth xx

Lovely video as always Claire! I absolutely love seeing all your makes especially your dolly makes, your Blythe girlies are so spoilt! And was great getting to see what projects are included in this book, I have the other book in the series with the pink cover (and the gingham and plaid dress on the cover) so was very curious what was in this book and thanks to you I now know. Its so inspiring seeing your versions of the book projects and really shows how versatile the patterns can be ☺

Thanks so much Yuri, I’m so happy that you found the book showing useful. I think I have the book you mentioned as I think I have them all. I’ve now also got a out of print japanese book, that can be really expensive to buy, I wanted it for ages, but it was too costly and the pdf version I bought was printing out wrong with bits missing. However I found one affordable one and I’m considering sharing some of the patterns and doing sew alongs for the barbie and blythe sewists that watch my channel. I don’t think I would be breaking any rules because it’s an out of print publication in another language.

@@ClaireWhoMakesThings your welcome☺ That sounds like you have quite the little Blythe pattern library😆.I've been collecting the Little Amelie Blythe sewing books and absolutely adore them, have you looked at them? Oh nos that sounds like you had quite the adventure trying to source that one with sourcing it and having the PDF go wrong! Which book is it? If you did decide to do a sew along I'd like to join in and sew along with you☺
