I've read the first three books of Malazan and I consider it a masterpiece that makes you think and has one of the best worldbuilding/lore and characters as well imo. I'm going to read the rest of Malazan once I'm done with WOT.

So glad that your Malazan journey has started off strong, hearing your thoughts definitely makes me feel less intimidated. And I need to get to Empire of Exiles already, it's been on my TBR for wayyyy too long!!

Malazan definitely has lots going on but I don't think you would struggle with it at all, since you're so well read and versed in fantasy 😊

Glad to see Malazan is off to a good start so far! My Book of the Month for April was Fool's Fate. May was a weird one for me. It was a month of indecisiveness, randomly picking up books and DNFed/NFNed on a whim very quickly. But what I did finish I really enjoyed. *Epic Fantasy* Wars of Light & Shadow 1: Curse of the Mistwraith - I liked it a lot, Lysaer and Arithon are great characters. I did struggle at times, especially in the 2nd half, with the high magic elements, its not a hard magic system but there's a lot at play. The prose is very rich and elaborate but not overly so. I think I'm gonna treat this series like I did Malazan, and read it over the course of a couple of years. Carried over from April. *Mystery* Shutter Island / Dennis Lehane - I'll certainly be reading more Lehane, this was fantastic! Book of the Month!!! *Sci-Fi* Warhammer 40k - Gaunt's Ghosts: A Ghost Return (re-read) - Short story prelude to a much longer series. I'm already a fan of Abentt through his comics, especially Sinister Dexter. *Steampunk* Books of Babel 1: Senlin Ascends (re-read) - Carry over from April. I had gotten 40% into a re-read of The Blade Itself via audiobook and just wasn't feeling it, I NFNed Robert McCammon's Swan Song and M.L.N Hanover (Daniel Abraham)'s Unclean Spirits for now. And I re-read Part 1 and the first set of Interludes for the Way of Kings.

I understand your weird reading mood!! I feel like I have been mired in one of those for the last couple months too -- not to say I haven't been enjoying some stuff, because I definitely have, but it's just a weird mood and maybe somewhat of a slump!

❤📚♥️ I've read three Brandon Sanderson standalone novels, but I would love to read his series books. In what order are each series supposed to be read? Could you help me out? 😊

I haven't read all of the series myself, but I would recommend starting with the Mistborn Era 1 trilogy before moving on to Stormlight Archive! Personally I have only read 1 book from Mistborn Era 2 so far, but I know that there are some Cosmere connections to be seen between the later Mistborn books and the Stormlight books -- I'm just not 100% sure when they occur. When you get to more recent entries, you probably can't go wrong with publication order, even if that means alternating between series!
