Yay welcome back!! August was a great reading month for me too. I read a book that I'm pretty sure I got as a recommendation from one of your videos! I read Excuse Me While I Ugly Cry by Joya Goffney and I really liked it!! The premise of A Pair of Wings sounds very interesting, but also that's my least favorite part of historical fiction...trying to figure out what is actually true and what isn't and how much to emotionally invest in something that might not even be true. 😂

New subscriber! I definitely will add A certain slant of light to my tbr. I definitely like more romance than spice in my books so I probably won’t read the new Kimberly lemming unfortunately. I think romance is getting lost in a lot of the romance books I’ve been reading which is disappointing

Oh no not the bookshop sisterhood 😢 Blood at the root was very dated for me. Too many pop culture references. It’s fine I guess but the magic system didn’t make sense either.
