Thought we were getting trolled about the self-rez clip but that's probably what it's best for - when a solo trades for the final kill against a duo or especially a trio they get the win they deserve I just want a sound cue for self rez and a longer time than 5 sec to pick yourself up, but its a pity people can't argue or debate in a civilized fashion

Imo they should make it so when you click the rez button, it makes the same dark sight noise "whahh" as if a teammate was necroing and does like 2 second timer before getting you up.

Out of interest, why does the solo "deserve" the win if they died? If a solo trades during the final kill against a trio that's really unlucky, but they still died. They deserve nothing. If you play solo vs trio's you know what you're getting into it. By your logic, should 1 person in a duo's also be allowed to self res vs trios? And if not, why not? Because they too are at a disadvantage are they not? To be honest, I'm all for something that encourages players to always go up against trios, I'm just not sure self res is the answer.

@@pixelpeek9963 I'd say because the trade window is so wide and, in general, screwed up. In a team you get the benefit of the doubt so if you trade with another hunter in the ~1 full second trade window a teammate can pick you up, but a solo just gets boned. I don't think the solo should be able to immediately revive and return to the fight before the other team can heal/rez/rez-the-teammate-who-traded/reload/findthesolobody/etc, nor should they be able to silently get up (a team has footsteps to give away the rez or Darksight sound/self-deafening and blinding) I mean, I've killed someone, ducked away behind cover to reload, and then been killed by them. It's not common but when it happens it sucks, especially as a solo (I would imagine - I haven't had a trade that bad as a solo) What other encouragement could there be for players to go up against duos/trios? They already have increased rewards and MMR handicaps. I say this as a person who mainly plays in teams and despises the majority of the rat-solos out there, but I can see how they need some buffs and very occasionally play solo myslef

@@pixelpeek9963 What cues says. or in short: To trade or not to trade is not about skill, especially in a close quarter situation in this game. it's pure luck. and it happens so much in this game its incredible. Having a teammate to res you doesnt make you "earn" anything either if you died. In a game like tarkov i would say no to this. but i think it fits hunt well.

Nice for KZbin to not turn into insults just being thrown at each other for once :) There are 2 specific things I really don't like: * self res at long range * self res after suicide If you couldn't self res after accidentally blowing yourself up, personally, I think that's already a step in the right direction. I'm getting the same vibes as when team damage for explosions used to be reduced. In theory, there would be a situations where using an explosive bolt as your own feet is the best play as you can just self res, and I just don't see why that should ever be the case. Self reviving at long range though just doesn't sit right with me. It really encourages a specific style of play, it makes a mockery of the burning / reviving mechanic and you can 100% guarantee that more and more solo's will turn to sniping. Let me be clear, I have nothing against sniping in of itself! It's a perfectly fair way to play! But when one side of the battle can freely stand up after death? Nah, not for me. As to what to do about it, I'm not even sure hearing the same noise as necro works because that only benefits a close range battle, which I don't actually think is much of a problem. Thinking off the top of my head, I'd almost be happier with a single bolt of lightning (like when somoene has the bounty) to announce to the whole map that someone has self res'd. That way you'd know at a range battle, at close range the downed player could still catch someone off guard, and because you can only see it in dark sight it wouldn't be absurdly punishing. Some kind of audio and visual trigger, with the same audio range as the crows, and I think I'd be warmer to the idea of self res remaining.

I would say in that second match, Mike's gameplay was on fire. Crispy clean shots and throws. The others had no idea they'd face a player on a hot streak. Would only been better if he'd stream from a hot tub.

I'm at the point where I avoid scopes. They are great if you are outside, but I have so many fights that are inside compounds that I often find scopes to be a hindrance. I also don't have the patience to camp outside waiting for people to come out. Particularly if my teammates are down. I have been downed and end up watching from the perspective of a teammate that seems to be camping. I get more and more irate as they don't use multiple opportunities to revive the rest of us.

Funnily or well sadly enough I know one of the guys in the racist team. The (blue text) "I have more patience than you #3" guy, the name was a kind of gag name as like a year or so ago him, another guy and I changed our name to: ´"I have more patience than you" and then a number from 1 to 3, I was 2. "Room temperature IQ noises" describes his usual gameplay pretty well. Gotta say I never did expect him to play with racists or in the best case edgy teens. 17:05 there was definitely people still in the server. If you trade with the last person and self revive, the game will shut down the server even tho you are still in the game. Also there was still the spectate option when he died which is another sign that somebody was there.

Yes, but you can still revive with no people left on the server. I did that when I died to a red barrel I triggered after wiping, and about 1 minute later, I got kicked and lost the hunter despite being alive. But also, they have fixed that already. Twice now I think I revived after there was no one on the server (no spectate option) and the game let me go on just fine.

I remember a few days ago in a match were there was a trio camping in the bounty in a mansion (I do not remember the compound name right now), with shotguns, they standed still, two of them were using voip all the time with all kinda of slurs, because we were not rushing, and our team response was like "Come out to play little rats" we literally spend 20 minutes back and forth just waiting them. They gave up and started running towards the extraction, we got one in the middle of the road, and started burning him, the other one basically eating their microphone said "Stupid ass *hard N word* I hope your family get cancer and you watch them slowly die", at the end they died in the extraction were able to land one shot in my team mate but no killing them, all 6* playing like rats and with their KDA 2.0+, horrible at gunfights and PvP, was funny to see them so mad.

I’m sure they can balance it down the road, but you’ve got to remember after the event Death Cheat won’t be a thing so players won’t be balls to the wall aggressive so it won’t be a common issue you run into. We all heard the same thing when the Regen Shot and Stalker Beetle was announced and now look at it.. balanced gameplay.

That self revive was awesome, and nice job burning the racist. I had a toxic random teammate who complained about me having a hidden kda while we were still in the lobby. So we get into a fight and he rushes a trio inside a building and gets killed like a noob in the first 2 seconds of the fight. XD Our other teammate and I kill them and save him and then he proceeds to team kill us because he got angry he died. Its fine though, at least he managed to kill something in that game, too bad team killing did not increase his precious kda xD

So I was on the fence regarding the issue of self revive and was only considering an increased timer of 6 rather than 4 2 seconds to actually reload some guns that otherwise wouldn't be reloaded with bulk reload. However in the face of potential suicide bombers in hunt that get to revive after taking deliberate action to kill them selves in the process looked up some lads diving face first with frags and big bundles I don't believe that is a fair tactic and that if you die to self damage that should be it. No revive. Thoughts?

You're just a charming guy I listened to the stream the other day and heard you saying that although you appreciate the "we'd watch anything with you in it", the numbers just don't show that it's always the case. You absolutely know better than any of us but I wanted to raise a counter point, just incase it's food for thought? You've previously dabbled with other games, horror games, marauders etc and I DID NOT watch them. In that regard, I guess I am a liar and I imagine that might be the case for others. I think I (and probably others) do mean that they'd watch anything with you in it, as long as the content isn't stuff that we might otherwise typically avoid. (I know that means that we wouldn't watch "anything" with you in it but I never claimed we weren't idiots lol) For me, most of the other games were ones that I find too dark and thematically I'm not a fan. I like hunt and I like you so your hunt videos are an easy watch. A game like marauders is a bad thing for me but seeing you is a good thing. Balances out somewhere in the "maybe" category. Now, is you just went through a drive through and bought fast food, I'd still watch. Lmao. Its not exactly the type of content I love but it's a pretty easy digestible thing that let's YOU take the attention entirely. What I'm trying to say(and failing) is that maybe these people aren't entirely lying to themselves but rather, the diversified content would need to be more "mass friendly" so it really is you that gets highlighted and that there isn't a game or filter in the way that might make the fans put the video off for "later". I hope you kinda get what I'm saying. The minis might work for that reason, as its a good opportunity to just "hang out" with you, although, I understand it might not be worth ruining your hobby over.
