I work in the hospital and 90% of the time, you have no time to process emotions after losing a patient because you have other patients that need your attention. That girl had too much time on her hands, to set up, record, and cry. Majority of healthcare workers process their emotions home, with a therapist, friends or a bar. That was just cringeworthy behavior

anxiety attack unlike panic can lasts quite a while and fluctuates between intensity, also depends on other factors like how well your resillience is builded up atm, enough sleep,.. technically you could record yourself during that but i doubt anyone that actually is going through one will record themself during that, sure if you have a channel related to anxiety there is like 1% that would actually record it but most will show their emotional regulation skills after an attack by sharing what helps them.

I definitely could not speak to myself out loud. My internal dialogue and trying to control my breathing helped, which is what I've read is what helps most people. The video comes across fake, which is why they're being made fun of.

In reality if you ACTUALLY have one the only thing that really helps is getting tf away from everyone and chilling alone for a few seconds/minutes. The rest are just regular panic situations and not an actual panic attack.

If you work in any decent sized hospital, you are going to lose patients every day, multiple. If you work in resus, it could be 3 in as many hours. This was appaling behaviour on her part. Don't set up a recording. If this really did happen, you deserve to vent, but that person has a family and doesn't want you farming likes. Have some dignity and respect.

@nickcarroll8565 Well, to be fair, our general wards are literally full of geriatric patients. If I were to look at my board and see someone below 50, maybe even 60, I would be shocked. We have an aging population, and we routinely have between half a dozen and 10 patients who are palliative at a time. Many of them on Niki pumps, between that and ED, they are a daily occurrence.
