Y'all are a resilient bunch I'll give you that, from 5 figure breakdowns to forgetting a fork to eat lunch with. You guys find a way to just keep plugging along, part of the backbone of American farmers. 👍

Thanks for your videos. Years ago went to my child hood friend to get employment to get money for college, Just finished 3 years in the regular army, Anyway got in on harvest. Drove harvest trucks to grain dryer in Wheatly AR. Always remember the taste in the air of harvesting . Anyway, get that old feeling again.

Hey man I tip the cap to your machines. As much as you run them in heavy straw loaded up day after day I think they're doing phenomenal cause wheat is one of the toughest crops on a machine. Happy harvest from SW kansas.

Hope Tessa comes back for you soon. I am like y’all on a snake bite session with my big tractors. People in the city have no idea what it takes to put food on their table. Keep writing checks and keep on keeping on. Stay safe and enjoy the videos💙

When Hydro Pumps fail, there will be metal everywhere! Coolers, hoses, tank, filters, screens. I hope a thorough cleaning is being done or the pump will fail all over again.

Yep, you pronounced "VELVA" correctly. I was stationed in Minot almost 20 years ago; not for everybody but it's lovely country to me.

It's Velva, correct. I lived there as a youngster.

Once you smoke those main drive belts and glaze them up from slipping they pretty much have to be replaced. You also could have gotten some hydraulic oil on it so that makes it easier to slip and plug the rotor. cause it looses its grip.

So sorry for your expensive repairs! I have a question, as a home baker I’m always told hard wheat comes from N Dakota useful for bread. And soft wheat like for biscuits is grown farther south. Is this true? Also do you have any idea of the conversion between bushels or weight of wheat needed to make x loaves of bread? Thanks!

Google "tractor oven" or electric lunch box. They plug into a 12V power port and warm up your lunch. 👍👍👍👍
@darrintraywick80423 ай бұрын
I agree electric lunch box is the thing to have for leftovers where you don’t have access to a microwave I use one in my service truck several times a week and I really like it for a nice hot lunch

Good to see in this episode that you are feeling better. Q. Isn't it a little early to be finishing up in ND? Did you lose a contract? If memory serves me correctly, you did a lot more harvesting with Emma. Is that less this year? Sorry to hear of the expensive repair. It just makes me wonder just how expensive it is to hire a custom harvesting crew who have traveling expense, housing/food expenses, crew expenses and of course, equipment expenses. How do you guy keep your head above water? You're a couple of weeks behind on your videos. Has taking and editing and posting videos become a bit of a burden for you now?

A trick I learned from a Marine friend of mine: you can place anything between 2 slices of bread and you have a sandwich. For spaghetti, utensils are now unnecessary, plus you can literally "eat and run." Follow me for more tips...

JD used to be the premiere brand of farm equipment, but I have come to the conclusion it's nothing but high priced junk.
@srgxor3 ай бұрын
Hi Hayden, thanks for the great video. Too bad with the breakdowns. What do you think about the Claas combines and do you think they would be a better alternative in terms of reliability? Or is the service infrastructure even worse for them over there in the states? All the best mate.
@lesliewoinarowicz70183 ай бұрын
You are correct mate. The service infrastructure is not extensive enough for custom combiners to use in the states, maybe some day.
