Phil, the good news is you don't have to weed the driveway!!! Shortly after I bought my house, the city decided they had to replace a bridge over a creek/culvert. They closed the road to through traffic. It was supposed to take three months. It took almost a year. Gotta love bureaucracy! It was a six man crew...one guy with a shovel and five guys standing around giving advice. 🙄🙄🙄

Hi Phil, They actually made the driveway look neat. I would think you might want to add more gravel so the driveway doesn’t get muddy during the fall rainy season. But they left it in pretty good shape. I’m glad you could finally leave your pretty prison!!! ❤

Like you Phil my hole diggers and mess makers are near completion. It was the machines for the drilling, tarmac levelers and huge lorrys, on the tarmac on the road a nightmare shook the villa 3 weeks of noise and dust everywhere. Lovely to see lightening ❤❤❤❤

Had all this done last year so didnt have all the mess as you had as I was not there , the plus side they have installed all the connections for water and electric to my barn which can be renovated so that was a bonus , Still better for you all the new faclities much better with a meter then can readout side instead of an estimated bill even better. Now you are free to go out then Phil

If you want to look on the bright side....At least they can use a shallow trench compared to what would be required where I live in the States. Here it would have to be at least 6-feet (1.83 meters) deep to keep the pipe below frost. That would really destroy your drive. P.S. Good to see Lightning.

I know what you mean about being trapped, when my kids were young we had to go down to one car and i felt trapped i didn't use my car every day BUT the fact that i couldn't go somewhere when i wanted was a horrible feeling. September weather is usually nicer that July and August so you'll get loads done Phil. Take care🤗🇬🇧
