Fantastic video! I really enjoyed the deep dive. I have expedition leaders but haven't actually played with the leaders yet. I'd like to get the missing expedition too. I most often play the game at two and find it really good at two. Turns are pretty snappy.

DUDE!!!! I came here because you mentioned this video in your mental health video and some serious editing went into this! I've NEVER played Lost Ruins of Arnak but now i want to lol. I wouldn't give up on these types of concept videos. Have you considered making KZbin shorts of different parts of this video, then put this longform video as the related video? You could potentially be able to make 3-5 different YT shorts just from sections of this video alone. I think these type of videos may not get the immediate rush of views one might hope when posted but i think it will consistently keep getting views as long as the game keeps performing well. It's a marathon, not a sprint, especially with youtube! You have a SUB outta me 👊🏼

Fantastic video, the editing was great. I also feel like I was trying to find an easter egg with ( )-4= hidden in the Strategy images :D. The solo of this is so dang smooth with the website that CGE built out, I also highly recommend it. I can for sure feel the love that you have for this game, and it is a great one. I would love to see more deep dives like this one. Hopefully it does well enough to give reason for more of these. You mention that you can look up tons of different strategies for this game online, I should probably do this more in games. But I feel a bit like cheating, that I should be able to find out these winning strats on my own. It might take some of the fun out of the game. In reality I dont invest enough time in a game to understand them at this level, so it wouldnt hurt to look up some strats to try out. Do you do something with editing/visual for your job? You do a damned good job if not. Well done as always.

Re: strategy if you happen to come across any players who have played this 100s of times on BGA you will no longer feel bad looking up strategy but I hear you I really love the exploration of strategy in my game group. I don’t do any sort of design or editing professionally. I am just obsessive by nature and have put a ton of time into learning. I just try to make each video a bit better. This one is different in that I learned a new program to accomplish many of the effects. Not sure it was worth it but at least I learned something new.

We just finished the Missing Expedition campaign and are eager to start it again. So much fun! As for the video, I get why it hasn't had a ton of views yet since the base game has been around a while, but I can see it being a go-to reference years into the future. It's going to be a slow burn on views, but well worth it if you have the time and patience to do these once in a while. I wish more games had videos like this. Great job!

@@Neon_Gorilla Some other games with multiple expansions where a deep dive would've helped me (before I went deep myself) are Scythe, Orleans, and Terraforming Mars: Ares Expedition. There's a theme for those for me ... they all have a little-known cooperative expansion or mode that hasn't received much coverage.

Scythe just never grabbed my attention but Orleans and TMAE are great.

@@Neon_Gorilla I was on the fence for a while w/Scythe until we picked up the Rise of Fenris campaign. A good campaign can make/break many games for us, and this is a great one. We love the co-op expansions for Orleans (Invasion) and TMAE (Crisis). Both extremely well-designed.

Awesome awesome video, wow! I own Arnak, but my wife despises it more than any other game I own for some reason, so I played very little of it. I did get both expansions, but it just never clicked with her. I played the free campaign and it was AMAZING to see all the creative ways they put existing components to novel uses in service of new experiences. For some reason, I didn’t go back to the proper Lost Expedition campaign after the one game with my wife, but this video reminded me I owe myself to experience it.

CGE is truly a gem in the industry. The only one I know of that produces their games ethically. It's worth the small amount of money extra for the games imo.

thank you...to me dune is great but starts to become more convoluted with expansions and tougher to table while the leaders here just simply made it better. I prefer the theme here but not quite sure which is an actual better design.

I've tried playing this on BGA a few times and gotten absolutely nowhere. When I saw this video pup up with "Strategy" in the title, I was excited, but the "professor's" didn't help me at all. A bit more plain talk, and less jargon, would have helped.
