I hate having to ask how much every book I’m interested in is. I have margins to meet and I like to calculate them in my head. My favourite stores are the ones who just do a flat rate pricing. Paperbacks one price. Hardcovers another. Makes it so much easier for me to shop and those are the stores I spend the most money in on a continuous basis.

I've never seen color coordinated books on shelves. It makes me feel that people don't know the alphabet or care for books and reading. I am very oriented to colors, but appropriately in fabrics for quilts and such.
@backfromburnout6 ай бұрын
I think colour coding books is often done by people with OCD who like things done a specific way and order. I find it hard to scan the books with my eyes when the colours are all the same like that. I can see it looks pretty on the shelf like a rainbow display but I think it would possibly hurt the stores sales.

15:25 "You gotta be joking." He took the words right out of my mouth. I swear. I love a thrift store, but there was no thrift in that store! Dang! There is a local library bookstore who overprices their books. One day I saw a book in there and I knew I could sell it for $14-$15. I looked it up for comps. I thought to myself, "I'll bet they're going to have it priced right at $15." But no! They had it priced for $35! And not only that, but they'd written that price in INK, ruining the otherwise okay condition book. Couldn't erase that $35. Even if I wanted to pay $35 for a $15 book. Some places are just crazy. 14:33 That IS distracting! Wow. I couldn't deal with that. 20:30 Thank you for letting me tag along on your road trip! That was fun!
