Fascinating but realistically homes are staying on the market longer in Tampa bay and selling for less than expected and the market is also showing we will start to see an upward trend in foreclosures.
@TampaFloridaLiving2 күн бұрын
@@tabitha8808 where did you pull stats from to back that data? I dont foresee a massive foreclosure wave as there is a tom of equity in homes still. Prices have receded in recent months but year over year median sales price is only down 1.3%. Thats not bad after back to back double digit increases. Tampa market is still showing signs of strength and a much more stable market thank god… last few years have been a wild ride

Great video and yeah Tampa's core is finally filling out. One thing I like is that unlike other cities in Florida, Tampa has history. What sucks is home prices have not gone down and that has locked my family out of the home market. 400,000 is not affordable for most. So I wonder who is buying these homes? I assume people from up north or overseas who have cash.
@TampaFloridaLiving3 күн бұрын
@@RedWolf75 thank you for chiming in! Love hearing from you! Honestly $400k has become the new norm. Locals are affording $400k but we are seeing more 2 home incomes these days along with tech salaries, incomes from the medical field along with professional services. Way different from the good ole days where hospitality and tourism was more of the norm.
@RedWolf752 күн бұрын
@TampaFloridaLiving I regret not buying a home in 2019. 400,000 is out of reach. Stuck in a townhome with 2 kids and unable to get them a backyard and a good school district gets to a person. It will take us 3 more years to be able to get one of these homes. Hopefully prices stay stable.
@TampaFloridaLiving2 күн бұрын
@RedWolf75 im sorry to hear that and certainly understand. Nobody including myself could have predicted what we have experienced in the last few years. Have you looked at rolling your townhome equity i to the new home (assuming you own the TH)

yeah I'm from Chicago and If I couldn't travel back and forth like I do, I'd move back to Chicago unfortunately. There just isn't the culture, good food or reasonably priced housing and amenities here. Chicago is corrupt politically but Florida's lack of regulation allows for scams to thrive argh.
