@@dante7411 yes ofc. Apple tv already has a thing for audio called reduce loud sounds, that applys to everything you watch no matter what playform. Reduce loud sounds is good when you dont want to keep putting the volume down everytime a loud scene comes up and then put the volume back up trying to hear dialogue

Family sharing has stopped working correctly with tvOS 18 beta. You can see the other members but you can’t access their libraries. Maybe they also have to be running beta for it to work, just be warned.

if you’re using HomePods as your audio you don’t get the boost feature if your HomePods update to HomePodOS18 but if you’re on 17.6 you get the extra features

Apple's QA has significantly declined over the past few years, particularly in SEA countries. I purchased the iPhone 13 about 2.5 years ago and didn't feel the need for AppleCare+. Fast forward to today, my phone suddenly restarted while in use and now it won't turn on at all. I took it to the service center, and they informed me that the motherboard is dead. When I asked for an explanation, their response was simply that it died with no further clarification. Now, they are asking me to pay ₹35,000 (around $420) to replace the motherboard. Seriously, the motherboard just died? What happened to the premium Apple assurance? What about the rigorous testing Apple claims to conduct before launching a product? This is extremely frustrating.

am I doing it incorrect? When I use airplay to stream music from Apple TV, and I want to turn the speakers louder, I long press home to enter notification center and then speakers, but that will make the music stop. If I press volume up or down it does it for the tv speaker. Thanks

Someone reported earlier that DOLBY ATMOS will be onboard tvOS18. My guess is that when you are watching video with Dolby Atmos or Dolby Digital onboard, you'll hear it in its full glory when connected to a home theater system.

It does, it just needs to be in a Dolby Digital Plus container, TrueHD Atmos doesn't work until it gets full passthrough functionality like the Nvidia Shield

I read a thing recently that said their AAA releases of assasins creed and resident evil basically flopped Maybe this was them testing demand for such titles to work on the Apple TV But the majority of people who game on a tv, use a dedicated console so I don’t think there is a need or demand for it high enough for them to integrate a proper gaming experience

This is just my opinion, but I think fans of those titles will likely have a console. So if the game is the same price, it’s hard to justify paying $60 for both. And since the mobile version CAN’T be played on a TV at all, I think people would just go to the console to buy instead. I bought the mobile version cause I prefer playing on my phone when my kid or wife is using the TV

All those seem like great features but still not allowing to set a passcode on my user account . its really so frustrating how one is enable to switch to a different user account with no verification.its would be even more fun if one user sets the appletv to his/her preference (like the arrangement of apps) and once they switch to their account .. boom no need to go back to settings to turn off parental control each time you want to watch tv just because the kids were watching it earlier and please pleaseeee....let them allow us to set parental restrictions on a single account .! You already have this in place on other devices, there’s no reason why I shouldn’t also have it here! 🤦

Dont believe so. I think part of it is the connection. Bluetooth isn't meant to be persistent forever and i don't think AirPlay is either. There is stuff done on HomePod too to make this possible.
