Liking the format! Some feedback would be the suggestion to show on screen, maybe just above the clock time stamp, where you stand for the night at that point after each hand. So in this case, starting off at $1000 then after winning the first hand showing on screen $1,015, and so forth. Helps give the viewer an easier way to track how you’re doing on the night, if that makes sense. Love the channel, I’m learning a lot!

Great session video; in spots like yours with KJo around 3:23, I can't tell you how many times I raise there and get called by someone who decided to limp with AJ or AK and I take myself to value town betting top pair all three streets...

I like the format - gives a realistic view of a session. Also, something odd. At the 31 minute mark, it looks like a $5 chip was mixed the the discards and was not given to the winner. Take a look at tell us what your think. Maybe it was noticed after the clip was finished.

If they way you are playing is standard 2/5 in the states, I would say that 2/5 is so different in Sydney Australia. People raise to $100 or $150 when multiple limpers are in, raises of $50 are called by multiple people. I've raised $200 dollars with kings on the button after a $35 dollar raise, and 5 people called $200 dollars.

@@Pokerbabbo People will also raise you all in to $1000 on a bluff if they think you are weak. There is lots of action but 2/5 is also harder as a lot of the high stakes people only get HS tables on the weekends, so they move down in stakes to polish off their live game.

hey PokerBabbo... nice content. so yes, you can do vids like these since they help beginners and possible the next step forward. if they indeed take a lot of time, than at least you can create smaller number during a month of play. the best thing is ofc to comment the actions, as you do. on thing regarding your vid on 1/3 for a living, you did not mention or at least I did not get the info, your bankroll while doing the calculations. so yeah, it is a must all the time, to specify also how much will you risk in order to be able to sustain the downswings. at least from your perspective or level, etc.

I would have played nearly every hand similarly, except possibly the below: QQ: I would have bet river larger. AKo: One thing to consider -- "If you never get called by better, you aren't value betting enough." - Matt Affleck. QJ is unlikely considering the action, unless it's specifically QJdd (since it does not need to worry about redraws), and flushes would have to be Qxdd and lower, which are less likely than Ax, especially after the 3bet. I'd especially consider the likelihood of AQ and AJ, especially since they block the straights and it's a 3bet pot.... JJ: I probably just call flop since board is paired and relatively unconnected. J8dd: Tight player calls flop and then bets turn pot. He then bets 2/3 on a connected river card. I think this river is underbluffed and reluctantly fold.
@Pokerbabbo
@Pokerbabbo Жыл бұрын
AKo I agree, I think I’d like a small bet since I was think he’s folding a lot against a triple barrel. JJ: I think I still like my raise since I’m blocking top pair so very likely he can have a 7 or a FD that will most likely call a raise. As well if he does have a 7 and I just call I’m risking the flush coming in on the turn that may kill the action J8s: I think I’m usually finding a fold was just hard considering that he had just got stacked and is a player that gets tilted

Very nice format. Thanks for putting the effort in for this kind of vlog. In my opinion a clear succes and i am looking forward to more of similar vlogs like this one. I think your iso with the J8s is a bit to thin and unfortunately it backfired on you. Overall you played very decent. Nice vlog.
@Pokerbabbo
@Pokerbabbo Жыл бұрын
Happy to hear that you liked it! I think I’m going try and do more vlogs like these. I think J8s is a pretty standard raise form the BTN, the ranges I have from a coaching site likes to raise even J4s from the BTN. There is a limper but when it’s just 1 I usually just raise my normal range and start getting tighter when there’s 2 or more

Not a big fan of the "every hand" vlogs, especially when you had so many bad cards in a row. Started to make my eyes hurt. With that said, doing this type of vlog on a limited basis is tolerable as it does show the trials a poker player goes through, serving as a reminder that not every hand is playable and staying disciplined is the correct play. Keep up the good work!

I disagree. It’s an important part of poker and an accurate representation of the game. Without it we’re just watching a highlight reel. I love it❤

I definitely think there’s value in showing every hand but I do understand that some people would just want to see the main hands. Happy to hear that you liked it Sammy 💪
