Talk's Jeremy Kyle is joined by relationship therapist Jo Barnett to discuss the tradition of kissing under the mistletoe being cancelled at Christmas parties.
Jeremy says the tradition is "innocent fun" and "we're sucking the fun out of everything." However Jo adds companies may want to implement a no mistletoe policy to avoid any unwanted advancements in a professional setting.

In Croydon for as long as I've been around. The old council HQ was Tabener House and every year at Christmas the lights at night were left on in a cross pattern on one side and a Christmas tree on the other. Around ten years ago it stopped. After the public got together and made representation on why, it was then reported in the Croydon Advertiser that it was done because it may be offensive to other communities now residing in Croydon that do not celebrate Christmas . There was alot of unease surrounding the decision but it made no difference. The councils stance on it was we must try to integrate and respect other cultures. Well i then realised this is the thin end of the wedge. That was then infact the decline of intergration and the erosion of the traditions and values of the British people. So slowly by slowly everything we value will disappear. This latest affront is maybe the final straw.. .

What a miserable generation. However, I do agree for a work party it might not work as well. For the rest though, many traditions are a connection to our past, to our ancestors, to what is making us, us. To reject all of that, means these youngsters are a bit like someone suffering from amnesia, and that's a medical catastrophe.
