I grew up eating dandelion. Every spring we would go into the open fields and collect them. When we got home, we cleaned and separate the large leave from the small ones. The small were for salads. We blanched the large ones, squeezed the water out and saute them in a oil and garlic. It has been a long time since I had them and I miss them. I wish I could find the seeds. Thank you for the video and for bringing back memories.

We have 5 acres of dandelions. I harvest them most mornings and afternoons and feed them to the chickens.

My soil is miserable, just clay. I need raised beds even for wildflowers. My backyard is full of dandelions, hopefully someday the soil will get better thanks to them.

best way to get rid of dandelions is to leave them. They will act as nutrient pumps improving spil quality, but that's their achlles heel, once the soil quality is goof enough they can't compete.
