That's what i do. Leaching instead of one huge flush. I run 5 gallons through the first week. Then a dry out. Then a gallon of water at a time till the end. About three weeks before harvest i begin. It turns out just fine.

flora kleen from GHP if your are using salts & need to flush is super quick , it leaches the nutes out super quick compared to plain water 😎

Ok flush with the gh product then straight water, or cal mag and a lil micro nutes to take you to the end?

Idk…why don’t outdoor plants need flushed? I gradually flush coco. I’m not sure I should be. It definitely works. But outdoor plants don’t need it. What’s the difference? The ground doesn’t stop making nutrients available. Why don’t the plants seem to absorb them from the ground before harvest? Maybe the nitrates in the ground fade every fall. They get replenished every winter?

this effect is called placebo. for years growing cannabis has been illigal, so the "data" and "expieriences" collected are far from scientifically valid. Imagine some guy with dread locks in the mid 80s who happed to be "enviromentally organic" claiming he could "taste" the chems in the plants - as this guy is one of the view people growing, and other growers are the same "dreadlock enviromentaly organic"-men the rumour stuck and became somewhat "common knowledge", like in the middleages rubbing poop on wounds was concidered medicine ;)
@chriscastleberry65847 ай бұрын
Outdoor plants Typically take a bit longer To grow and organic nutrients Take longer for the plant To break down. Plus you're mainly Giving plain water with Proper pH and a couple Organic nutrients For outdoor grows But mainly just water. So it's not hard on the Plant to produce good terpenes With no flush. Synthetic nutrients is What you need to flush out. Outdoor growers Should be applying A technique called Bud Washing it gives A cleaner tasting, looking And smelling product. it Knocks dirt, dust and dander Off your bud And leaves you With the cleanest product You ever tasted.

We don't flush nutrients... that is an unfortunate side effect... we are flushing salt build up from the feeds we are using... if you don't use chemical fertilizers which create salt build ups, there is no need to ever flush... Not many people use such chemicals in outdoor grows... but if they do there can be salt build ups outdoors as well

You made my mind up gradual reduction of nutrients in the last 2 weeks sounds like the way to go. Thanks sir!!
@wisenheimer99978 ай бұрын
You should flush if you are going to use the same medium over again, but you can do that after your harvest... The other issue is can you taste the chems when you smoke... I'm not that choosy I guess or my throat is just dead from cigs and such, so I never noticed a chemical taste, ever... than the logic becomes, well, the end of the grow is very important and a good feed means more growth and more weight

unless my girls are showing stress from overfeeding, I dont flush. If you cut out the nitrogen around week 4 of flowering and reduce your synthetic feeding the last 4 weeks you dont need to flush.

So now that you finnaly understand how synthetic nutes and organic nutes work do you regret dumping synthetic hydro feed into your soil pots lol?

Just my opinion, but this subject of Flushing falls into the category of "Fine Tuning" a plant. Overall results will be same(weight and THC %) but taste and smoke-ability will be affected.
@expertizer8 ай бұрын
a new study shows something exactly opposite, the THC % is somewhat fluctuating - it has no corellation with the nutrient difficiency of the last 14 days , the blindtaste had no difference than the control group. overall straving the plant can be done, but has no scientifically measurable and "tasteable" significant effect on the endproduct.

Never understood flushing. Im 99% sure the original problem is usually hydrophobic pockets of substrate from getting too dry, being fixed by dredging the soil. Broscience says its the flush thats the fix, i think its the dredge.

I Taper down to get the senescence in my leaves. if they are still rich and green, then there is to much Chlorophyll. But I think it also depends on the type on nutes being used.

Depends on the nutes used. And as I lose nothing in yield but save on expensive nutes. whats not to like. Tapering down isn't rely flushing, it's tapering down, so the plants are just reducing the uptake rather than cutting it off.

@@henrydillshaw3442 no it's just ignorance. Chlorophyll btw is highly volatile, anything over 60°C and it converts.
