if you dont want to wait for the manifold to fill up, you can put your coal generators on standby... they will fill up on water and on coal. when they full you just activate them and they will work like a charm :) also where you made you coal plant... if you move over the water and in to the hills you will find a crater with 3 pure coal nodes and a good sized lake to make all the power you need, so no need for compacted coal ^^

Once you reach oil and get the recipe for diluted fuel coal will become obsolete for fuel in most cases and will be reserved mostly for steel... However, there is a caveat as there are two different diluted recipes out there. Happy Hard Drive Hunting! Oh, and you'll want the alternative Heavy Residue Oil recipe as well! One of the diluted recipes requires the use of Blenders and you won't have access to them until you're able to process bauxite into aluminum. There is another alternative and that's the packaged diluted fuel. You'll have to make an an assembly chain for that though. You'll need to produce fuel from refineries, package it, feed it into another refinery with water to produce packaged diluted fuel, then you can unpack it and feed it into pipes to feed your fuel generators... You won't have to constantly make canisters, but you will have to pre feed the system so it's good to have a few hundred of them for the build, but that's mid to late game stuff. Then once you've got all that done... It won't exactly become obsolete but it will no longer be the priority since you'll end up doing nuclear builds during the end game. You'll definitely want to get your steel builds, computers, and heavy modular frames up and running cause you'll definitely want to make use of trains!!! Don't worry, it's all Satisfactory!!!

Discovering the press once, auto craft in the bench was like the greatest thing In the game. I felt like a caveman who discovered fire. I already had a coal plant when I discovered it

There's a thing called "Satisfactory mod manager" once you got it - I'm sure you'll figure it out 😉 elevator mod is called "Linear Motion"

Yep, those spiders are truly terrifying. I got stressed just watching you deal with them. I use a mod to get rid of them completely. Very cool builds, btw!

There’s a faster crafting mod which speeds up the crafting speed in the crafting bench up to 25x!!

I actually used tractors to transport my sulfur to the 4 coal nodes to make compacted coal as there is a path to that area and the constructors dont use it all before the next tractor gets there you will need about 2 staggard to keep it running

I felt discouraged to use tractors because of the alleged pathfinding bugs. Had any trouble?

@@approximatelybored no they were keeping my plants overstocked, the trucks will just teleport to each spline node if your not in range so path findings not really an issue from my experience, and if they ever "crash" into something you can just move away and they will teleport to the next node.

1:42 that got me right in the feels 😂 I remember how frustrated I felt when I discovered the auto craft feature. I had been jamming the mouse button before lol. I just Subbed Aprox 👍

FYI this is my favorite spot for building a coal power plant 8:43 I build it right over the water. I usually build a string of 9 plants stacked and flipped for a total of 18 coal plants fueled by the 2 coal nodes you found in the clip. Also I use only 3 water pumps but I keep them overclocked to maintain all 18 plants

@@approximatelybored I usually end up deconstructing / re-building it as a gunpowder/ammo plant after I build a solid mid tier power plant from the nearby oil fields. I build a 36 fuel generating gas-guzzler! The polymer resin from the fuel refinement alone can be recycled into all the plastic and rubber I'll ever need for the rest of the game
