@inferno6593 sorta. After I got over SAS 4, I got into more realistic games and strategy. A game that capsulates perfectly is Door Kickers 2. PC only, about to release, top down, pause-time strategy/tactical. My point being yes, it's S.A.S I loved the series, but I want more atmosphere, more horror. If it has a limited FOV , realistic firearms/protection (well the artwork, i dont expect realism absolutely) , and maybe even some tactical movement (leaning side to side) I'd be very excited. But until I get more evidence for this, I'm modestly excited.

@inferno6593 It's a great game. If you're looking into strategy/realism and the only experience you had was balloon TD or SAS, I'd say it's a great game to play to get used to the change.

I think making it pay it kinda a good idea because it kinda prevents p2w aspect to happen because usually pay game don't have much in game purchases except for something like skin ( pure cosmetics) that don't effect the game play. That just my opinion and i hope it not gonna be too expensive so all the SAS fan can afford it.

I can't believe I didn't catch this earlier. No the artstyle won't be like BTD6. Don't mix art direction with medium. BTD6 is cartoonish. SAS is dark and grim. Saying "it will be inspired by BTD6" is like saying SAS4 looks the same as BTD5. NO IT FUCKING ISN'T. They will go 3D, but it would still look like a SAS title.

However at the same time, BTD 6 is a paid title, with little micro transactions that go with it. So maybe we wont have to worry about heavily paid IAP to make consistent progress. Also as someone from a discord server im in stated, taking SAS out of the title brings out a new name, a name to start fresh and grab new players attention when looking for games. It also means that those new players will have a new story to focus on rather than having to download sas 4 in order to get the old story/lore.

Visuals will only affect low-end PC players (hardware limitations), and mobile players (graphics rendering eats battery like Nikocado Avocado eats an entire buffet course. BTD6 lags because of calculations, not graphics.

Features designed to pad for time, drain resources etc would ideally be diminished or removed with far less incentive or maybe NO incentive to buy in game purchase. You pay a little bit up front so that the game will respect your time, essentially.

I'm not sure about ZA:R being paid title. SAS4 was popular and installed by many because it's free and i'm worried that if it's paid title it won't have a lot of players which could cause the game to die quickly and wr wouldn't want that to happen

Mostly I'm just hoping there's more gameplay depth. Making it 3d won't be enough to seperate it from other top-down shooters, and it'd be nice to see some more complexity beyond it just being another twin-stick shooter with some mediocre RPG elements on the side

It pissed me off when i heard it, i know that they need money too, but half of the games daily steam visits are becuase the game is free, there are many people who cant wven afford little amounts i think they should make the game free with in game purchases. A paid title like the Steam version of the Bloons games doesn't have the "freemium" limitations that games like SAS4 had. Much less incentive for NinjaKiwi to sell you advantages like straight up buying cash and ridiculous guns. Grinds would ideally be a lot more respectful of the player's time, I.E no more grinding for premium ammo, or putting "premium ammo" as a skill (such as explosive or incen rounds perhaps?) BTD5 and 6 are VERY good games, largely because they came with a price tag and were able to receive continued support. Given the nature of it being a "live service" title, even if they're able to automate it they can only sell so many copies to keep the lights on. Hopefully they only monetize cosmetic aspects of the game. Armor skins and such would be welcome. Really hoping we don't get a battlepass, I'd prefer more meaningful content drops.

I was The First Mobile Player to Figure out the SAS 4 Mobile had Controller support NK didn’t even know it was working it’s Still not working 100% on Mobile it works in Gameplay just no menu navigation 😢

In the end they dont want fix SAS4 along 10 years and now they want "return" with paid game? Its a big mistake for SAS,paid games have a lot of hacks.
