This is part of learning how to go faster. Makes you sharper and double-checking you did not forget to do a step. Be the driver and communicate what the car is doing and you will get there. You already know if something feels off and that is not an easy thing. It's needed to know what to look for and what can can be improved. The track and the car are always telling you something. How you read that makes all the difference. The data logger helps to confirm what you felt during the run and on each run helps to make you better each time. Great job keeping focus on the task. We all need to see the not so good parts to appreciate the great ones. Thank you for keeping it real!

Went out last night, told the kiddo to hook up the drag and see what the da is. He comes back to me and says the elevation is-345 ft and da -145, temp is 50. I’m like this ole girl gonna roll! Then I was like what you sure, negative. That ain’t right! Lol. Guess the info on draft was wrong, usually it around 700-800’ where I’m at in ky. I didn’t even make a pass after that, lol.

Have you considered keeping your engine cooler and running it minimally while trying to make a fast pass? I don't know if you are running it a lot but, it sounds like you are in the video. A cooler engine will make faster passes and you can keep your car more consistent if you keep the engine cool. This is what most racers that are competitive in bracket racing do.

10.8 on all motor is still respectable and a lot of people run that with force induction. On nitrous you will run 9s no problem

I know you were talking of running in the low 10’s or high 9’s but what really concerns me is you not having any neck support whatsoever. No cheap donut or maybe a HANS or a Simpson Hybrid. At 10.0’s you hit the wall at Beechbend your neck is snapping. Think Dale Earnhardt. The other thing is noticed is your seat not being bolted to the roll cage. It should be bolted to the crossbar. God forbid you have an accident and that seat is not holding you in place. If you are going to race and go fast use the NHRA rules.

People have mixed feelings about racing on the mile high, aero has alot to do with it. A car like yours probably likes the thin air to cut through. Whereas some like a brick don’t matter much, it just kills them every where, aero and engine power.

My car is NA. The higher the DA the slower it’s going to be. That’s like trying to run a mile only though a straw

I remember some top fuel crew chief was talking about it, he was amazed cause the cars would run about the same there. The engines made less power some they tube them up, but the cars would go through the air better. I wish I remember who it was, it was a cool interview. Good luck!
