I always thought in a 4v1 game the power role should be given to the 1 and 4 fight for it but in DBD the killer is fighting for control and sadly for most of roster there fighting and losing hard.

Have you checked the information datamined by Swish yet? He found that the game utilizes your highest MMR killer as part of the formula when you queue on ANY killer, even one you haven't played before. For example, a 1900 MMR Spirit playing Legion for the first time still gets thrown into a 1700 MMR lobby even though killers should be starting at 1100 MMR. The devs stated previously that killers would have their own MMR but failed to mention that your highest killer's MMR still plays a role in the formula. That said, the hard cap is 3800 MMR so if you're bodying SWF at that rank then I'm pretty sure your Legion is going to be way higher than what MMR you're expecting it to be.

Because when you get a good challenging game as killer its FUN, and survivors have fun. You feel like a big terrible slasher monster but also they feel like horror film protaganists on the third movie that are trying to fight back. I had a round as legion where it went for 45 minutes as the last two survivors tried desperately to fix gens I was patroling and hiding expertly. then when they finished it was a massive race to the exit gate where only one of them managed to escape by the skin of their teeth and they were so happy we chatted for like 10 minutes about how good we all did. DBD when you have both sides accept their "roles" and play them to a T is a fun ass game. But when survivors wanna be monsters without being killer....thats when the game turns toxic quickly

There is indeed zero incentive to get good with either role. As (solo) survivor at least half of your games are usually a breeze if you get good teammates even without the benefits of Discord - I mean, it's enough to throw down pallets after running a circle around them once or twice while your team is sitting on gens more often than not, so why would you try to increase your overall skills? As killer getting better, racking up kills and thus raising your MMR is being rewarded with pain and suffering (a.k.a. high MMR survivors as opponents) which is why I started letting the last 1 or 2 survivors finish up the gens and leave even if I previously dominated them to keep my MMR from going up substancially. When you don't play to win what's your motivation to improve? If I only get 1 kill instead of the 2 I'm normally going for, what's the big difference? In fact it's actually a "win" to kill less survivors because that means your MMR goes down and not up - it's just sad really. As a developer you know your game has pretty much screwed the pooch when "losing" as one role is factually more rewarding than doing well... sigh.

(I'll agree with Spirit to a level, but now her ability is awful) A swf of that level, toxic or not, has no counterplay either. Double standards. Circle of healing can be snuffed and replaced forever with over 100% bonus healing speed. People massively lower their mmr on purpose to face and demolish weak players on both sides. But you don't see a problem with that? It's a 1v4 game and a lot of people treat it like a 1v1 and get upset when they're caught in 60 seconds. This game could be so much more than it is, and yes this isn't a game you get everyday, but it's a game the "power role" should have a serious challenge, not get tossed around from survivor to survivor who are always backing each other up easily. Discord is the strongest survivor perk and the game should be balanced for it but isn't.

I've uninstalled DBD. I'm not a high MMR Killer and run into this stuff all the time. Low tier is fun and feels balanced but when you start to get out of it the game starts to fall apart. When they introduced MMR the balance was much better in my waters but then this kind of Survivor learned how to manipulate their MMR and away we go.

He also willingly stayed around the building and was fuming post-match about the fact that the survivors were using stretched res- which we don't know for certain, btw. He bitched and moaned the entire match about how unfair swfs were and didn't stop for a moment to think that maybe he was falling for their bait. The random did the gens by themselves unimpeded because he literally never left chase with the swf. Is it difficult to counter bully squad swfs? Absolutely. My concern is people whining about this experience could cause changes that effects me who plays casually and does not do stretch res comp SWF bully nonsense. There is lot of fun in this game for top MMR killers and there is lots of fun to be had as Top MMR Survivor but Both sides tend to focus only on the narrowest of negative outcomes when wanting balance fixes or the devs to swoop in or just to complain about some toy they liked previously that got taken away. What actual record, what actual average result do you think you should be able to get as a killer? I think most killers AVERERAGE at least a 2k and non stop piss themselves about how survivor sided the game is lol. I do think that if Survivors just to the damn gens its super in their favor but thats not at all how it actually plays out. Hell you cant exactly accuse the survivors in this game of gen rushing, as they were too busy clowning at the Saloon, so do you want interaction with the survivors or do you want gen rushers?

Survivors who play like the ones at the first game can be really annoying to play against, but normally you get a free win because they aren't doing the objective much. These players were incredibly good though, so they are an anomaly. And as True keeps saying there is no counter-play to the locker-to-flashlight-save play, I mostly agree but also consider the fact that flashlights aren't unlimited. Could also have used Lightborn if you saw in the lobby they brought a lot of flashlights. The play would be to zone other survivors away from those lockers, but these survivors were incredibly skilled. Essentially I would say the problem comes down to really good survivors with really good perks, against a mediocre killer (the character, not the player) and "not the best" perks. It's a problem of game balacing on multiple factors, as well as a unique map-design "flaw". I also disagree that SWF is broken. It is absolutely way stronger than 4 solo-queues, but essentially it's not game breaking. It should come down to the ranking system evaluating them as better players, as well as rating them even higher when they are premades due to the likelihood of them being on communications / playing around each other. And finally, it doesn't help that the difference between the killer balancing are so high. If you are the best Nurse in the world, and the game gives you a survivor team accordingly, but you happen to be playing a WAY worse killer this game, you are automatically at a huge disadvantage. Then you factor in RNG elements like the map...

This is a very abusive swf and they are definitely exploiting animation locks, but to say there is no "counter-play" to that is incorrect. Running a perk isn't coutnerplay. Counterplay is playing a specific way to counter a strategy/killer. Equipping light born or franklins to get rid of flash saves isnt counterplay

The lamentable state of the game is laughable, I personally, after several years being my main game, I am no longer playing, because the truth is that I no longer have fun. The MMR has me at a point, that I need to play at 100% of my concentration, to only get the occasional hang up. Holy fuck this was infuriating to watch. I remember when True would get dope ass 4Ks with Legion. It wasn't a total stomp. It was a fair game on both sides. He didn't necessarily have to camp or tunnel. This is especially painful to me because I absolutely love Legion. One of the biggest things I keep noticing you doing is not using the gap in the outer second floor of the saloon to cut off a Survivor. For example, at 11:26 to 11:28, you could have instead simply went to that gap on your left and dropped down to cut off the Survivor or force them to go in a direction you wanted to go. Instead, you chose to keep going the same way the entire match. This might have been a mistake as you're actually going in the direction the Survivors want YOU to go, rather than forcing them to go the direction you want THEM to go. Simply jumping down from that area would have been something to mindgame them since you would've already conditioned them to go that direction on a constant.

A lot of players, who also happen to mostly or only play survivor, love that the game is like this. They get to hop on DBD with their buddies and exert minimal effort compared to most of the killers they face, even if the killer player is good, and especially so if the killer is playing a non meta killer, and they reap all the benefits of the game being balanced around average/low skill players. They love that the game is terribly balanced because it benefits them. You won't see the majority of these people on MK, CSGO or really any other PvP game that takes actual skill and has balance.

Well using a viewer build + having a good team would cause this issue. Yet playing certain killers gives your certain abilities. You know what will work and what will not playing top tier. Not all killers can get 4K versus top teams or people who know how to play the game. Even with Meta killers True has manage to escape either two or atleast himself. You play the killer of your choice and get good and can not win them all. So saying this is literally like saying yeah I feel a 9mm pistol should beat a 50. cal.

Thank God I quit, I doubt this game will be fixed. With the other games like VHS being a lot more potential than DbD, Behaviour and the community of their game really ruined the game. Lightborn I seen from the comments would likely would of been the ONLY way to counter this team but even then, a 4 man SWF this high-level with MMR would likely been GG with the imbalancing and current form of the game. This is pretty much old DbD. I don't know if you think this is as bad as old DbD (I would like to hear your opinion personally if you would prefer this or old DbD with god loops and old loops like Cowloop being longer than it is). But yeah, personally, I made the right decision to quit. If I faced this EVERY game, I would likely feel helpless. Survivor isn't that fun to me either. Just because certain locker save spots are bullshit doesn't mean certain killers who got nerfed weren't problems. The rest of the issues exemplified was just Legion getting rolled by DDS Main: So good survivors running a weak killer with no chase abilities on a main building that should probably be nerfed. However double locker saves, and lockers in very strong main buildings like DDS Main (especially that one where they could drop down) are definitely problematic. Again, just because one side has bullshit, doesn't make other bullshit fine. BHVR targeting Killer bullshit probably comes down to it being complained more about, which isn't fair either tho, but just how it is.
