missed opportunity for a Skarlet from Mortal Kombat joke. Especially since Homelander is in MK1, I had made so many Skarlet jokes about Marie.
@The_Mang4 ай бұрын
I imagine the reason "Magteeno" is able to manipulate electronics is because all electronics are made up of metal and all data is stored physically somewhere. For all we know he could be messing with the magnetic fields inside the computer's hard disk or something. Basically, a magnetic superhero being able to mess with electronics isn't really super absurd of a concept and if he's able to control it well enough I imagine he'd be able to write and/or read data.
@Ultinuc4 ай бұрын
I mean maybe but nothing in the series indicates he has much finite control of his powers like that. The closest thing is the first episode and Idk if I'd use that fuck up as a case for him having that specific a control over metal
@The_Mang4 ай бұрын
@@Ultinuc Yeah I definitely agree that the strength of his powers are a bit inconsistent and he probably shouldn't have that level of control over his abilities at that point in the plot. The point of my comment wasn't really about it making sense in-world because TVSins sinned the fact that 'electronic manipulation' seemed to be a completely new power of his when it could potentially just come with the magnetic field control. A better sin would be "We never see him use his powers like this again cliche" or something like that (Though admittedly I don't remember if he continues to use this power I am just using an example).

Right? I honestly just use these videos to watch this series. This is why CinemaSins sucks ass and its adjacent channels as well. 5 writers and all of them make the same stupid shit mistakes and play the same tropes. Th3Birdman is just one guy, and doesn't have to pull that crap off for the sake of marketing. GCN Gaming Sins is reduced to one guy after all the shit that tore his team apart and he still does his job better than these guys.

@JaxKlem3 ай бұрын
Honestly yeah, most of the “sins” they give the shows/movies are jokes that don’t land and most of the jokes are unoriginal too which is ironic considering the basis of these channels.
@gutzbin3 ай бұрын
CinemaSins and TVSins stopped being genuine movie/show criticism and pointing-out-inconsistencies channels a long time ago. The writers realized, if someone wants to know the bad things, they’ll watch a review. If someone wants to know about the inconsistencies, they’ll go to an online discussion forum. But what these channels can provide is dry humor, jokes and comedic mockery of a movie or show in an almost patented formula (black bars top and bottom, subtitles, counter and timer, same jokes every time but applied in creative ways). It works. Pretty much everyone knows they pad the count but that’s fun, gives you a bigger number to look at.

Wait, Emma's powers are linked to her emotional state? That implies that she first found out about her power while crying and eating or something like that. Which means she should've noticed that anytime she eats casually, she does not grow; that twist does not make any sense.
@JadeK2975 ай бұрын
Huh 🤔, I don’t think she knew anything other than eating a lot or throwing up would alter her size. Maybe her powers are changing over time. That’s why in the last episode she was surprised crying made her small..
@ZachDift-kc4nk4 ай бұрын
Her mom used to obsessively track her height and constantly monitor what she was eating. Also she’s constantly watching what she’s eating and keeping track of her food intake - that’s why shes so stocked up on all those Maeve health bars.
@ZachDift-kc4nk4 ай бұрын
Her emotional state is tied to her eating and purging habits just like it is with most eating disorders. Whenever she forces herself to purge, it induces an emotional reaction in her such as making her feel bad about herself, making her feel ashamed, making her hate herself aka making her feel small. Her mother constantly told her growing up that she shouldn’t try to get too big bc no one liked that and they preferred her as tiny cricket or whatever her nickname was. Overeating and getting too big was literally one of her traumas she talked about - I think when she was a kid she was at a birthday party and she ate too much cake and that caused her to grow too big and everyone was scared of her or something so she hid in a ball pit. So I’m assuming she then started avoiding eating too much in order to never get too big or if she ever overate, she would immediately go purge bc she linked being big to a bad traumatic memory. So essentially, before that scene with Sam she was always monitoring her food intake/calories in order to either keep herself regular sized or become tiny. However she overcame her aversion to and trauma with overeating and growing big in size when it came to stopping Sam without hurting him. Then for the first time, she found out that people actually loved it when she became big in size unlike when she was younger and all the kids and parents got scared of her.
