Degrassi arguably is “better” idk if that’s the right word but they teach actual lessons like online safety, and have multiple episodes that are basically just PSAs on rape,suicide,grooming and actually list help lines at the end of serious episode. At lest they do be providing people with resources and teaching kids not to trust the teacher who romantically persues you. It’s got actually useful life lesson for young ppl.

I think Bailey having a heart attack was very necessary. The doctor didn't believe she was having one because she was black and that's it. There's no other reason he wouldn't believe her. She was telling him she was the chief of surgery. I would think she would know what the hell she was talking about. Racial bias in pain assessment and treatment is a real thing. They either we're drug addicts or we don't feel pain. That needed to be shown on t.v. period. It was VERY necessary.

THIS! i think also coupled with her dealing with OCD, even her loved ones and colleagues were somewhat understandably questioning her running through her symptoms and warning signs, this added another layer of depiction of the reality of black women being dismissed for both their physical AND mental pain/illness, heart disease is a leading cause and commonly SILENT killer of black women, this episode resonated with me so much as a black woman and i thought it was really well-written... i understood overall what amanda was saying about the series of unfortunate events happening for dr. bailey as of late but such is also the case for black family and career women for eons; this episode was meaningful!

Seriously like how she acted like Denny was her soulmate, even though when he left the first time, they never talked in any form or fashion. I was pissed how she played with Alex. Alex did screw up with her, but he tried to become a better man Izzie and she kicked him to the curve for Denny. LIke Burke the Jerk should have stopped Izzy and Denny's interaction, way before it got to where it got to. Izzy going after George after Denny dies was garbage, cause it like why the hell is did she try and get with George, when she showed no interest in him in a romantic sense until she lost Denny and George and Callie get married, then she wanted George. Like WTF, is that about. Izzy and George only seem to want people when those people didn't want them, after they played games with that person. They seem to get to with people for the wrong reasons sometimes.

I used to practice family law, and relocation cases like that are wild. The burden is so high for the court to okay the kid to relocate while one parent stays behind. If Mark was still alive, Callie wouldn’t have had a snowball’s chance in hell. But more than anything else, family law judges will always slap down a parent who is essentially choosing a significant other (not even a new SPOUSE) over the child. the best interest analysis almost always lands on the side of the kid not relocating.

Not a fan of Joe at all, super bland character but that development did her wrong. Definitely made me like her more than I ever did. This totally ruined his character arc, all the development we saw totally down the drain. I think behind the scenes it was reported he wanted to spend more time with his family. But it's sus for me that he didn't appear on screen and it was just a voice over.

I HATE that so many people think April is a horrible person for going to Jordan. She had to do that to survive. Her baby was breaking bones inside her body and died in her arms. Yes Jackson may have thought he needed April to heal but she needed to not be around where her baby died. She was basically catatonic before she left and he didn't communicate with her about his grief. It was an impossible situation. If she stayed then she would've been even worse off than Jackson was by her leaving and he wouldn't have really healed either. Most of us thankfully don't know what it's like to lose a child but the grief has to be unbearable and people pretend April staying would've made them heal together when it more than likely wouldn't have at all.

The fact she did this over a guy she really didn't know, continues blow my mind. Like she acted like they were soulmates, even though when he left the hospital after the first time they met they had no interaction at all. No phone calls, texts, emails, DM's. They never even had a coffee date, or picnic, or anything of the sort. She also got with Alex who was trying to clean up his act for her and what does she do, when Denny came back, she kicked Alex to the curb. Like what the hell is that mess, cause how are you trying to have Alex step up and when he does you throw him aside for a guy you barely know is beyond me. I mean it shows how much the "relationship" between Izzie and Denny was just lust in my opinion. I mean when Denny's dad came and we found out, Denny was rich, and his parents were alive, and a bunch of other stuff, that Izzie clearly didn't know either, just proved that her wanting Denny was more superficial then she portrayed it in her mind. Burke and Bailey should have reassigned Izzie the moment they felt Izzie and Denny were moving past doctor and patient behavior. There is nothing wrong with patients feeling comfortable with their doctor but they were taking things to far. Denny wanted to feel like a virile man, considered his ailment and Izzie gave him that feeling. Izzie was flattered by a good looking guy who needed her, and was new and different from the guys she sees on a regular basis. Their relationship wasn't going to work, cause they both weren't honest with themselves and each other about their life. Especially when Izzie was dating Alex and dragged him for not being faithful, even though she was the one sending mixed signals.

Because Mark had Sofia and he would never leave his daughter. And he wouldn't want to live either if Lexie died and he didn't. So, although their deaths were really tragic, it makes sense that Shonda had to kill both of them.

They couldn't have Mark leave with Lexi, because they were hoping that Eric would be cace for season 9. At the time, I believe, there was still contract negotiations going on for some cast members, but at the time of filming the finale Chyler had already told Shonda that 8 was her last season. While I hated the way Lexi died, she died with Mark by her side, it was a well written scene and it's one of my favorites. In all honesty I wish Mark died that season too because the. beginning of season 9 gave me hope (even after I read that he was leaving the show prior to the premiere)

Shonda and Ellen said it was better that Derek died because of their love story he would've never divorced Meridith. Their love story (whether you like it or not) would've been a lie if he would've been okay with just divorcing his wife and leaving his kids behind. Also if Derek was still alive the majority of the fans would still be asking for him to come back. I mean.. They still do and he's dead lol. So everyone that died it made sense to their story. Even when Meredith messed with his trial he never left her because he meant his vows to her etc. So it's better that he died.

Miranda Bailey is the best freaking character on that show to ever exist. The way they write her character can be unnecessary sometimes to wear she wears herself out to death but it just simply makes sense with the work stress itself rather than her own character development which is still good. I feel like a lot of caucasian fans don’t really see Bailey as much of an interesting character because they overlook her character too much when she is literally the reason why Meredith, Derek, Alex, Izzie, etc get a lot of good ass plot lines while Bailey barely has any personal life stories other than her kids for a hot second or her current husband

The amount of times greys has disrespected me is astronomical. I held on for so long, there were so many times I nearly dropped the show. Alex was my baby, I rooted for for him like he was my little brother. That's why after the deluca situation I stopped watching. The only character with a proper arc that actually made sense, a CHANGED person and they went and destroyed all the hard work that Alex had done, down the drain. Alex was the final straw for me. He went though so much, he grew, found himself, was finally happy and in a good place. The writers can go to hell.
