most people lift their jettas because of snow and bad driveways etc. i live in bc canada and ive hit my oil pan a few times because of how low they are and its made me consider doing a small lift myself

it is because these cars were built WAAAY toooo close to the ground so it starts as a lift, haha...on a flat gravel road, the oil pan drags on the gracel between the wheels...AND they have GREAT fuel economy and torquer imho...

Im from Spain and golfs and Jettas 1.9 tdi (called bora here) are very very common. I had a mk4 golf AFN 110hp with 420000km and the only problem was the fuel pump, same as you, but very easy and cheap to repair. They are strong engines

As a current Passat TDI owner it is a love hate relationship. But you failed to comment on the people who think their TDI is a truck for towing. Or the stupid hood stacks they destroy the hood to install.

You dont have the right transmission ratio probably you have a gas car transmission ratio are a lot shorter
