Thats good. I have tried this pattern many times but cannot get it right.After i have sewed the shoulder parts together with 5/8 seam alowance there is a 1 inch gap between the front pieces, they do not come together as they do in Tock Customs video. Plus the arm pieces do not fit perfectly.

A Button hole puncher would eliminate that problem of seam "ripping" thru your buttonhole. They're inexpensive and can be purchased on Amazon. It's also a good idea to squirt a couple of drops of "Fray check" seam sealant into the button hole once it's been cut opened to keep the threads from unraveling every time you put a button thru the buttonhole.

I put a pin across the top of the buttonhole before I seam rip. This stops me from going too far.

I keep a swatch of cloth attached to a file card. On it I write down pattern number and any info about it that I feel is important. Ease of sewing, tricky areas of sewing, fitting alterations and most importantly whether or not I would consider or not to make it again. You may find that everything worked out well but you just don’t wear it that much or the reverse. P. S. Never cut your buttonholes to the end, they will stretch out naturally. Leave a small bit of room at the ends for this to happen.

The instructions in those sewing packs for projects are complicated for me 😂I'm more of a free style person because I get confused following them . I bought my younger daughter a singer sewing machine for Xmas present maybe she will make her pets some clothes 😸I like how the shirt came out that you made looks so perfect, are you a clothes / fashion designer ?
