Everything wrong with Wings Of Fire: The Lost Continent

This is my first video recording myself, so, sorry for any mumbling/background noise.

My question is, why does Luna scream as if she is getting a cavity drilled while hitting her ankle with a razor blade scooter during her metamorphosis... but Blue is like, "Hey, I fell fine! I don't care if I was supposed to experience pain prior to metamorphosis or during it! Whoopie!" and is absolutely fine at the end of the book. It may be that he was ready for it, but look back on book 10 then please.

Ok im not trying to sound like a fangirl but some make sense if you read carefully. The book said that Cricket cut the arm cuff multiple times. Infact on page 76 it says and I quote " Cricket traced the line again and then again with the flamesilk thread, burning it alittle deeper each time." And " And then, afew careful passes later, the metal gave away and fell off his wrist, brushing against his scales and leaving a small scorch mark that hurt like a viper bite". Also at the end of the book it talks about Blue going into his metamorphosis meaning in the next book he will have wings. So technically not a lie. Also it clearly says " "Don't worry I have done this before," she said. "I mean... never anywhere quite so... flammable. But I'm sure it'll be fine!" " on page 75. And the Rainwings have blow darts that are technically bullets. And Clearsight knew about said tribe and could have told them about that. All the answers are in the books if you read them

I had a little thought on Mistake #5. There have been multiple instances where a "dragon" language was mentioned in the earlier books, and later the special Pantalan language was brought up as well. Here, one can argue that since the characters do not speak English, whatever they called the Bullet Ant just translates into the name we use for it. I had encountered many words used by the characters of these books in a way they should not have used it if they spoke English too, so I went on an assumption that the reading we have is an approximation based on translation. (That, and humans exist in the world too, who are said to be unintelligible, further showing that there is a different language at work). This does not, however, excuse the later mistakes with what Bullet Ants really are.

I had a problem with book 3. They stated one of the dangers of the forest were “poisonous snakes.” The only snake that scientists think COULD be the Hognose snakes, because they eat poisonous toads in the wild. And it’s not even proven yet. Also Hognoses live in Prairie type areas meaning they would have no business in a forest anyways, I’m sure she meant venomous but STILL!

I do think that they actually are handcuffs with a hinge because if you look in the graphic novel where Peril frees Clay and his friends, it is shown as a cuff with a hinge. Note that in the graphic novel Peril also only makes one cut with her fire scales. This means that it is most likely that this is the same in the book. This would make more sense since how would he get it on in the first place. It is also would be more convenient when changing bands to have a key instead of using a fire hazard. Also, Blue describing how he thought it would be like removing one of his toes, is merely an exaggeration on how long he has worn it. I'm sorry, it's just I noticed this when rereading the graphic novel for the first book. :>

Respectfully, for mistake #3, Cricket could have made two cuts because Blue was hazy, and if you recall, he didn’t remember saying Cricket had “The best brain in the world” so it’s possible he didn’t remember. I don’t have an explanation for when she did it to Swordtail.

Mistakes you missed - when swordtail says he can carry both blue and cricket at the same time cricket says ‘My own two wings work perfectly fine thank you’ but... yeah she has 4 wings -The flamesilks apparently eat lots of tangerines, but there are no trees on pantala. Admiral also remarks that he kind of wishes for a banana. Yeah

my biggest frustration with ALL of the wings of fire books was how awful the size scale of literally everything is. how could a dragon peel a mango or eat a strawberry if they could also hold a human? like a strawberry is literally so tiny it would be like trying to eat an ant. and if they gave dakrstalker just one they wouldnt even be able to taste a single strawberry. but then later in the books they talk about humans as much larger in the 6-10th books than they did in the 1-5th books. sometimes in a jungle humans would barely be able to get between the trees and thick foliage so how would a dragon get even close to being able to fly through that?

Hufflepuff Pets in Book 6, it reveals that fruit is bigger, because Kinkajou gives Winter’s scavenger a blueberry the size of its hands. A blueberry the size of a scavengers hand would be a bit bigger for dragons!
