I honestly cannot comprehend that. It's not a difficult film to understand since half of it is very entertaining exposition and the other half clearly shows each level of the dream. You just have to pay attention. I guess that's over too many people's heads these days.

Not exactly. It´s like the difference between VR a AR. Some movies are mostly animation, meanwhile Nolan´s movies use vfx to make Hoyte Van Hoytema´s shots even better.

FYI it's not deadnaming to refer to accomplishes credited to the persons pre trans name. Also this video is a retrospect not a modern day discussion, the whole narrative is in the era of production so it's totally normal and ok to use that name. Deadnaming would be referring to Welliots current projects with the old name.

Never? “Elliott” Page wasn’t in the movie. She’s not in the credits. Hell, she didn’t even “exist” at the time. Nolan wanted (and cast) Ellen, hence the use of the name. Insisting others refer to her NOW using a name she herself didn’t even go by THEN is ridiculous.
