I totally subbed. I have watched like 15 fkg videos about artichokes and YOU are the 1st one that actually said to let them turn into the damn flower. So thank you sooooooo much. You rule. Hey!!!! You seriously should check out "Gary's Best Gardening" channel here on KZbin. Watch his videos about the ideal growing soil. It will completely change your life. It is CRAZY what you will learn. Not a lot of people know what he knows. He is a national treasure. Anyway, you rock so hard. Thank you again!!!

Artichokes are incredible!!! Please try growing them, don't be discouraged if they don't produce artichokes the first season. They're worth the wait! *But,as Gear as this video us please search up other recipes or wats to cook them because this video wastes SO much!* I've been cooking artichokes for 40 years now master cooking them! The absolute most incredible way it's just to cut the stem cut the top off where the points are spread it open a little poor little olive oil in the top and steam them until you can reach into the pot and leaf pulls out effortlessly then you can dip the dining leaves and butter and at the end you scoop out the little fluffy stuff and eat the heart it is a simplest and most delicious way! Nothing is wasted! You get to enjoy every single bite of the complete artichoke!

Glad it was helpful! The big artichoke plant I showed in the video actually had 4 that it produced but one got too heavy so it broke off.

What’s the name of the variety that you mentioned that’s from the 1400s?

It’s called “Carciofo Romanesco” literally translated to Roman Artichoke.
