great video :) you mentioned that a week or two pre cruise that you would get the chance to choose if you added a credit/debit card or cash onto your onbaord credit, i live in australia and had to choose when i checked in, which was about 6 months ago, and our cruise isnt until december 2025. it would not let me fully check in without adding some form of card and cash was not an option to choose. i always put cash on my card, so hoping as soon as we board the ship we can go to guest services and remove the card from our account, although that will not stop them doing the hold on our cards that you mentiioned they will do precruise

Your best bet is to call into carnival to find out if you can change the option although you already made that choice. Hope you fund a solution asap. Let me know how it goes. Quick question, can you prevent teens from making charges to the credit card on file using their sail & sign cards? And do you know if you can get extra room "keys" at guest services? I think our young adults in our party may want to change rooms throughout the cruise with each other. Would be easier to just use the room key vs sail & sign card.

@@christianmcmillion everyone gets a card, you can put a limit on their card when it time to do online check in 2 weeks before the time. If there's no money there it won't be any to spend so that's an option also.

@christianmcmillion it's best to use cash as the payment option for teens though and just put the amount on the car you'd prefer them to use

Also, for the slot machine, you can put in your sail and sign card (to get points) but also request $$$ to gamble with in the slot machine. There is no fee for this. If you use it to get chips to play with at the card tables/roulette/craps, there is a 3% fee. So $100 gives you $97.

For clarification purposes: if you have a credit card on file with your Sail & Sign card you can select to use funds from your credit card to play the slots without using the requested funds as a “cash advance”?

You're actually using your sign and sail card for the charge and it'll be settled on the final bill on the credit card you have on file. It's not a cash advance on your credit card so the credit card is not hitting you with any fee. But you are selecting charge cabin in the slot machine screen.

@SunshineQuan yes you can use it right away. There's no holds if you use cash. It's like having a debit card...whatever there you are able to use.
