Yes, you can move between the 2 without any penalty.

No, only use the Invest account if you have already maximised the Stocks ISA allowance for the current tax year.

You will pay tax on you invest account and its not protected.

Cash isa earns you an interest of 4.9% with T212 at present so quite good. Especially if you need the money within 1-5 years. You do not pay taxes and it is protected up to 85K of cash. Long term (more than 5 years), it will probably perform worse than a common globally diversified ETF in a stocks and shares ISA.

Doesnt matter how many years you are planning to invest. The input limit is for a single year. It resets the next year and so on
