I disagree with your boarding window assessment. We’ve arrived early expecting to wait and we got straight through. We’ve also been late due to transportation and it also was no problem we got right on

I certainly hope everyone has a smoother experience than our two boarding experiences in Galveston. I also hope they get better at the process.

Is it just me, or did it look like signs for the on time check in line and early/late pointed to the same spot?
@allgoodontheroadАй бұрын
@@DSandA Yes, this was the case. They were holding people until their time arrived or they decided to let them out of the line to the far right. Once they checked your pass, they would allow you to enter the on time line.

I have a reservation for parking at the Carnival Terminal. What street do you enter the parking structure? Rosenberg, Strand or 24th?

Your videos are super helpful. We are leaving out of Galveston this Saturday on the Jubilee and staying at a hotel on Friday. We are taking an Uber to the port Saturday morning. This will be our first time leaving out Galveston and have no idea what to look forward to as far as arriving to the port in an Uber, checking our luggage with the porters and etc. we will be winging it and hopefully have minimal confusion and maximum fun! Lol😂

Thank you! It's so exciting to be leaving this Saturday. You are going to have a wonderful time.
@bethdavis68632 ай бұрын
Don’t know about Uber as I always stay at a hotel that has a shuttle to the port, but porters are readily available to whisk your luggage away before you ever get in line to check in for your cruise.

Port canaveral has the rudest people. I've cruised out of Galveston several times and never had one problem. We've arrived early and were allowed to board every time. Galveston stands on business and being professionals.

When you arrive to check in, is there someone greeting u at the back of the line so they know you were there at your scheduled time?

Yes, and at multiple points in the line, at least three for us. When you enter the line, when you enter the building and before they let you into the final line for check in.

Is Uber the best transport after the cruise as well, to IAH?
@allgoodontheroad4 ай бұрын
I have not tried IAH, it is certainly much farther. Current price is 77 from the port to Bush.
@DenaInWyo14 күн бұрын
@@allgoodontheroad I think you're going to see much higher prices than that on debarkation day due to surge pricing. I'm researching the whole IAH thing too.

Uber was outrageous for us. We chose Anita Ride and Salt Water Moms after numerous recommendations from a cruising Facebook groups and they’re both on Facebook
@allgoodontheroad4 ай бұрын
Mind if we ask what you paid for those journeys or can you provide more info on their pricing? Hard to beat a 35 dollar Uber for two everywhere I have checked and are they a shuttle bus that makes multiple stops and picks up other parties?
@CUTravel1stАй бұрын
I have never heard that cheap of an Uber drive from there. I want to say usually it’s about $100.
@allgoodontheroadАй бұрын
@@CUTravel1st so I actually caught the Uber from the Holiday Inn by the airport, I wonder if that makes a difference.
@DenaInWyo14 күн бұрын
@@CUTravel1st That's always been about what we've paid as well. I'm nervous this time and trying to check all my options because we have to fly into IAH for the first time. I still think Uber is going to be cheapest for three people, but I worry about getting a driver willing to do the 70 miles and hearing rumblings that it's really hard to get one back to the airport on debarkation. I hate shuttles, but at least coming back, we may have to suck it up.
