Also, you will be contacted wherever you are if one of your frigates gets damaged. You will have the option to either force the frigate to complete the mission or return to the freighter for repairs. ALWAYS bring frigate home! Once your frigates reach S-class and you send them out with a 5-star fleet rating they will never take damage. Making sure your freighter has three S-class upgrades for every mission type greatly enhances fleet performance.

@@heatsrink01 for a new player? Yeah, recall it. Once you have the cash to replace them on a whim it's not such a big deal, but for a new player who doesn't have the resources, recalling it, fixing it, then sending it back out is the right choice.

It's strange but C frigates end up better than a naturally found S frigate after you upgrade them through explorations

I swear by my frigate fleet. In every playthru, I start building my fleet as fast as I can. The return on investment is very fast and lucrative. Protip: it's more beneficial to send all your frigates on a long successful mission than several risky short ones in the early days. While it's not the amount of time the mission takes that matters, it is indicative of the number of stops/encounters the fleet will have while it's out. Frigates rank up based on the number of successful encounters it has. So, ensuring each ship gets the most successful encounters will rank them up faster enabling them to do more difficult runs with fewer ships in a shorter amount of time.

What would be a recommended frigate fleet composition? At first I was planning on having 6 frigates of each type, recruiting minimum A class, but in my experience, combat expeditions are more common, so it might be worth having only 5 frigates of the 4 different types other than combat, and 10 combat frigates.

I think you can't go wrong having an even split of all kinds. You will be able to rank them up as well so it's not the end of the world if they're not A class when you first get them 😊

My biggest vhallenges that i cant seem to gind the answer for which is probabaly right under my nose. When i have multiple fleets out on missions and one ship gets damaged how do i know what system thale damaged ship is at in the galaxy mal? I run into this issie where im just travelling to each fleet icon hoping thats the fleet on mission that needs repairs.

Is there any benefit to stacking? It just seems this was designed where you'd get 6 of each type of frigate and send out 1 of each type on every mission. If you did plan on filling out the 30 frigate limit.

There are organic 'frigates'. I'm not entirely sure what I did to get the one I have and that's one of the things I'm trying to replicate (if possible)

if you have an organic starship, and you send organic frigates on missions, they may bring you spawning sacs and psychonic eggs. spawning sacs allow you to upgrade organic starship inventory and tech slots, psychonic eggs let you grow tech upgrades for your organic starship. im also trynna find organic frigates for that reason

You need to craft a certain item, which will give you a random encounter. But it only really happens per galaxy sector I think

As of the Echoes Update: To get your first organic frigate, you need to build a Dream Aerial. You get blueprints to the dream aerial as a reward from frigate missions. Once you build it, you get into your starship and activate your pulse drive. While pulsing, turn on your dream aerial and you wait till you get a "whale song" event. That's how you encounter your first organic frigate. Answer the personality test and it will determine the stats. After that you can encounter more organic frigates using an anomaly detector. Hey, to answer your question, fuel has to be in what the game considers a "nearby" source to be useable. In short, if it's in your own inventory, in the capital ship's main storage slots or in your actively docked spaceship with a item teleport it works. However it DOES NOT work if the fuel is stored in your storage lockers, even if you have some on your capital ship. This is because the ship's navigator can't read what you have in your lockers. You'll actually be able to see this for yourself.. go anywhere in the "green buildable zone" and you can quick stack to all installed lockers. But go anywhere else in your ship and that option vanishes.. even near the nav console.

Check the fuel cost. 200tons isn't enough for some missions. I've seen them go over 800 tons a lot. I keep my fuel in the first slot of my freighter's main inventory. It's well worth the 1-3 inventory slots they take up imo.

What's the difference between combat and raider ships?

From what I can tell raider ships are more balanced and act a lot like support but with a focus on combat. So they have a lot of upgrades like solar sails and they add bonuses to expedition speed or reduced fuel, things like that. So they are generally not as good as an upgraded combat at combat, but they have more balanced traits so they fit well in something like a balanced expedition.

Did you understand how dumb this is?I as a freighter captain has hired 30 mining ships,to dig minerals from asteroids,and i exept that they unload the load into the freighter.And for me to do it all by my self is apsurd,and difficult.And talking about difficult and apsurd,shudn't my frigates land in my freighter,once they finished with mining.PS:By the way,expeditions should be long only 20 minutes.

Managing frigates looks so boring. We want more action and not be manipulating 2D images for expeditions to get more useless units and items. What are you going to do with all that play money ?? Nothing. We'd rather have space battles to get this stuff.
