It's a new patch recently made by PRC - The shortcut for the Grappler has been moved to "J" instead of "F" - After testing it for a while, the grappler may engage a PIT maneuver during a pursuit. In my opinion, the PIT system will never be “obsolete”, but it will certainly be less popular. The reason i say this is because the grappler is a game pass item, meanwhile standard pushbars are completely free.

The grappler can never replace the wraparound bar. If you try it on a car where the rear wheels are further forward, like most pickup trucks and suv's, it just... doesn't work.

tbh after using this feature in many police chases, i can safely say that using the grappler is just going to take a lot of practice and luck to get a car to stop. ram bars aren't obsolete though. i suggest using the grappler for cars during slower chases and ram bars for high speed chases. now the only thing i could ask for is if PRC could add a star chaser attachment (a device that shoots out a GPS tracker dart) for police, which'd be amazing. it'd give a purpose for slower police cars and the ability to use spike strips/stop sticks more often without having to chase them down. ik air support is a thing, but it can be unreliable sometimes when you're chasing somebody else that isn't in the helicopter's range. just an idea though, im sure PRC will totally not consider adding it in the near future.

If you have a friend, you could combo with one having the push bar and one with the grappler. Push bar pits them, slowing them down, then grappler goes in and snags the wheel while they are slowed down

As someone who wasn’t aware of this update and got into a pursuit with sheriffs recently and I swear I was laughing at how easily I got away from that dude until my truck stopped and I realized that grapplers just ended my happiness…and you know the rest of the story after that.

I feel like it's to OP but something weird about it when u use it on not wanted people it has the reset button but u think they are wanted and get out and try to arrest them but just to shame your self! Anyways good video❤ also about the RWD or FWD or AWD problem they made it like that so no bugs happen like when the grappler attaches it's a code to stop the car and Have it like it has no wheels and no engine so yeah! In conclusion they made it like that so no bugs can happen or like the car flings or flies!

They need to make it make sense, it shouldnt be able to completely stop the car even if thats what is does irl, ive been in traffic stops, suddenly i get BASHED by another 4WD SUV cop car with it on, i cant move the car at all cuz its grappled and i end up spinning out and getting push a mile and a half, once its on you can do anything i think it definatly needs a nerf / debuf or somthing it just instantly ends a chase or somthing and makes it abit boring

Seeing a cop car fitted with a grappler chasing me makes me drive even more aggressively than I already do in the Chevlon Captain (Chevrolet Caprice) as I don't feel like using faster cars. I can still outdrive them though if I make enough hard turns at opportune moments!

Rambar is more reliable, but again, if the car is full hp or close to full hp, unless you get a really good pit, you’ll have to hit it multiple times before it stops. Grappler is one and done.
