Can you upload your first runs? Maybe with a little chart that lists what you did? How many areas you cleared with your group on what cloak level? So we can see how hard it is and whats possible without the risk of failing. From videos it seemed like easy content thats completly doable in a 5 man mythic raider group after you got the first research, so maybe in week 2.

@@cloudstrife2131 it sounds like it doesnt matter as much because you can catch up in future weeks. With a cap in place, theres a limit at to how far ahead players can get. If you mess up week 1, you can just catch up in week 2.

quick tip, you can cast the orb and then begin a fight instead of just standing there doing nothing. You will hold full sanity for a good portion of a boss fight if you do it just before the pull. Its the best use of the orb and will buy you so much time.

thank you for that. I invested 15k gold and 5-6 hours of work to upgrade my gear to the new raid tier level of 410 and im still not able to rush thrall. at best I can get him to about 10-15% before I die, every time.

@@mwagneri 410 seems way undercharged, but I understand many people like this challenge. Heroic dungeons are 415. Mythic +2 is 435/445. With raid finder in a few week 430.

Nope you are totally right. It's not just like owww i need to farm reputation tokens from rare mobs or like i need to get the time sand in that Chromie-Scenario. It's really not that easy, i find. Playing Blood-DK, i'm happy that I got my cloak pushed by 4 Level, but i had big issues at the beginning.

Yeah, I'm going into 8.3 as a BM hunter, Mythic raid geared at 445. I doubt I'll have any problem blasting through this solo. But if I was running a healer main with DPS 2ndary spec, I'd definitely ask for a group.

Blizz just announced that if you fail your horrific vision there is a chance to catch up next week (meaning if you fail 1 you can do 2 the following week) so you wont be permanently behind in progress

It's really not easy with this corruption items. Im lucky to have at the moment 30 corruption, which is totally negated by the cloak and my 2 essences. But im thinking about changing the essences out or at least 1 of them, because this AoE-Taunt isnt that good, when you play Blook-DK. Don't need it.

@@Saltantia The aoe taunt is useless in most situations yes, but as a geared Brewmaster, the healing on dodge combined with leech, stagger, urchin, aegis rank 3 and anima rank 3 means i take literally 0 damage on giant aoe pulls.

I wasted 2 keys not able to kill thrall and the 2nd I killed a secondary boss but didn't have enough time on thrall. (prot pally). Full sanity bar is not enough time for my tank dps against thrall. ill take the advise from here and pre place the orb before the fight. that will definately give me enough time

I tried skipping past the mobs before the two guards outside thralls room in the vision, but they all decided to join the fight once i attacked the guards, they are all aggroed if you attack them, I got swarmed and killed. So much for "go straight for the objective". Would have been nice to know you have to actually kill evertyhing on the way there, not just the two guards outside.

Expansive Mind > Singular Sanitation Expertise ALWAYS Read more for reasoning You start with 100 Sanity. Increasing your sanity by 50 points (per research point) is a +50% stat boost. On the flipside, increasing your damage dealt and taken by 5% each (per research point) is only a 5% boost (I'm not counting the damage reduction because it doesn't do anything to help you clear the vision). Increasing the amount of time you can be in the area by 50% will pay off way more because it increases the amount of time you have in the vision which allows you to do far more than a 5% damage boost will. Now, if you're killing 10+ mobs at 1 time, then the 5% damage boost might help for that short duration of time, but it won't make up for the 50% extra time buff unless you're doing that damage to those mobs constantly throughout the Vision, which you're not, because they die fairly quickly anyway and killing them 5% faster isn't saving very much time anyway. Probably less than 1 second.

Thank you. A few weeks in now, and I'm feeling happy enough with the horrific visions. I've only ever soloed, but it's getting time to find friends, I think. I first tackled them with my Unholy DK, which has good AOE damage and is pretty tough. Once I learned my way around, the fights have become fairly straightforward (not necessarily easy though). You say that healers will have trouble and should probably go as a group. Well, my resto shammy is now working through the Org extra stuff, solo. It's a bit tougher, as damage output is much slower, but the healer has a few very good heals plus totems, and of course my elemental does some tanking. Others have mentioned that tanks can solo too. So, don't lose heart, even healers should do reasonably well here.

God I wish I had found this guide before jumping in. I had no idea half this shit existed in the game. One thing I hope they fix in the future is better into to systems since they are replacing them every damn patch. I failed 3 missions due to having a cursed item in my inventory from Najatar that was not marked Cursed. So I thought it was part of the corruption system. Now I am forever behind on cloak. GG blizz and forcing people out of the game to learn about the game.

@@clevercrow1363 No, the zones are the ones that dictate at what rate your sanity drops. Some mobs attack your sanity rather than you health. If have more corruption than resistance, other bad things can happen, and that will make it harder to keep your sanity. The cursed items from Nazjatar do things like 1/2 your dps, heals, or DoT you. Nasty little items that if you find yourself in an instance with, throw them away. Otherwise, there is a vendor that buys them for a fair price.

If you want to do this, have an iLVL of 415+ (for anyone doing catch up). If you are lower than that, it will be very tough on you. Under 400 and you wont really have any chance.

I find the visions to be fun and a good personal challenge similar to the old mage tower. The only problem is that the mage tower was optional and rewarded an appearance that was not required for raiding/mythic+ and this is mandatory content. I personally have a few friends that absolutely will not have the ability/time to complete these. Healers and tanks will be forced to group for this mandatory content, and if they can't get dps guildies to join them, they'll have to risk grouping with randoms that might fail you. Too risky. Bad design.

Yeah, they said itd be like mage tower. Well, I havent found any resemblance yet. I did stubornly go in as resto, which is quite alright. I can easily solo Thrall as resto shaman, druid from my guild did struggle with thrall and wiped. Ive killed Thrall 5 times in resto now, but have to go to a lost area now for rank 6. Im not sure whether I should just go with a group, it depends on how much harder a lost area is. I just dont wanna waste another vessel xD

When you fully clear a vision you get a mask. That mask increases difficulty and rewards, and leads to more masks. Keep adding masks and it keeps getting harder, but you can farm more corrupted momentos to get transmog, mounts and the socket item.

Does taking dmg also drains sanity or is it only the over time effect?

Over time your sanity will drain. On the map you will see areas that drain X amount per second. Unless there is a mob that specifically says it drains with an ability.

A lot of mobs have abilities that will drain your sanity, so you have to be careful to avoid aoe's and such too!

Equip all your AOE escences. For minor get the purification protocol, and condensed life force(not AOE, but it will increase your damage) and for major, focusing iris. If you play demo, might be easier to AOE, but I worry about aggro, cause if you have your voidwalker up to tank, then you lose DPS without the felguard. Personally, I'll be going destro, big bursts!
