Thankyou so much for this - I kid you not , I did half the first square stranded with too-tight tension before I frogged the whole thing 😅 2023 is my year for doing ✨proper healthy tension colorwork✨. And this video just made it so easy , so Thankyou!

This is the best intarsia tutorial I’ve watched and I’ve watched enough to make me think that I’d never be able to complete my chosen project. Thanks for clarifying a technique that can be confusing.

Wow! You must be so artistic as well as creative I just bought your Nola pattern shown by Helle the Danish muse. This is also my very first Intarsia though I’ve love intarsia I don’t have the nerve to try but the Nola was too gorgeous for me to chicken out hope you have a tutorial video for Nola cardigan.😅

Hi! Brilliant video! However I've just come back to knitting after many years and took on a project for my grandson. It has the name of his favorite player on the back but is curved ti be able to fit it. Just wondering how you do that as the stitches might only half cover a block. Is it better to duplicate stitch or intarsia do you think? Thank you

hi thank you so much for this video 💕 i'm struggling with puckering:(( when i pick up the yarn from below and knitting for the row below, my front side looks bad:(( how can i prevent it to happen✨
@tryagainsun Жыл бұрын
i'm having this same issue, it seems to come from picking up from the row below! have you figured out a way to solve it?
@TwoOfWandsKnits Жыл бұрын
puckering is a common issue with any sort of stranded knitting where you have floats across the back of the work. The only way to combat it is to take care to pick up the next color a little more loosely so that it doesn't pull across the work. Blocking always helps even out the stitches as well, but it can only do so much, so making sure you keep a consistent tension throughout is the best way to prevent the puckering :)

Thank you for this tutorial. I am working on a cardigan that has a pattern chart on sleeve as I am working around, but I got myself confused. Maybe overthinking. How does this work as part of the larger garment? Is it treated as a separate section? For example when you come to first and last last stitch of pattern stitch (1 or 20), if you are continuing to knit the body of a sweater, are you starting new yarn on stitch 21 if its the same color?. I am confused what happens if there has been a separate bobbin for the yarn as you continue knitting the rest of project. I hope this question makes sense to you.
