I am currently 3rd year ME student(will be 4th year next semester) and I'm making an attractive salary doing computer related jobs before I even graduate, so what matters the most is your passion, if you're interested in mechanical engineering I suggest you should pursue that instead of choosing a carrier that you have no interest on though As I mentioned in the video ME isn't a jock, it requires a lot of hard work and dedication and the courses are "relatively" hard so you should know that. I don't see much job posting related to ME, I can't say much about starting a business in ME, but ME will set you on the track to learn and know many things including but not limited to programming, CAD and 3d softwares, crafting machines, 2d designs, Analysis, data structures and more, even AI and machine learning stuff if you do more python. Anyways try to ask senior students at your college to know how this particular engineering is being thought, and Good luck. Check out the full video for details.
