Great guide, ive only got one very niche stuff to add lol. Nekomata's first hit of her basic attack can lock on to enemies from quite a distance and dashes her forward before attacking. There's two main uses for this imo. First, her EX special attack actually has very low range by her standards, and her sliding attacks can sometimes bring her out of range for her EX special. This is especially relevant for using her EX after her ult, where she can end up too far for her EX to hit. In these cases, a single hit of her basic attack gets her into range pretty consistently. Second, when trying to attack distant enemies its faster to dash halfway then start the basic attack chain using the lock on. It saves like half a second but I once missed a 3* clear by a single second and I've never recovered. As for alternate team comps, I've been using Soukaku over Lucy, mostly because I just like Soukaku. Soukaku offers some CC and up to 1000 attack buff at the cost of a slower rotation and no team core skill, and idk if that's worth it or not. I'm curious to hear your thoughts on her. Finally, nekomata has a different animation from when you go from her stat screen to her skills screen vs when you go from the equipment screen to the skills screen. Going stats -> skills -> equipment -> skills is the optimal character screen rotation as she hops further into the screen and is very cute. This is very important and I'm offended that you didnt include this in your guide smh my head

Thank GOD I'm on the right track with Neko Piper Lucy. For awhile i felt like i was getting gaslit for the team not having a stun unit but it felt like it didn't really matter in practice since Neko really just wants the buffs + assault procs.

Regarding disc slot 5, wouldn't Pen Ratio beat Physical% since we're getting so much DMG% already? Fanged Metal (35%) + her passive (60%) + Steel Cushion (20%) we're at over 100 DMG% already! Also worth mentioning that the BP W-Engine (Cannon Rotor) has a secret synergy with her, as despite not saying it the 200% bonus hit there counts as physical DMG, so it gets buffed by Nekomata's passive, which most other characters can't capitalize on.

@@nakfr0g Gonna throw in my vote for Anton, I haven't seen many people make a more detailed guide for him. Plus, since he's the other rate up on Ellen's banner, people likely have copies of him, plus he's shock (pairs with anby being the only f2p stun unit). Everyone pretty much knows the ice team is good it's pretty overdone at this point. I have been having a pretty good time with him, although I'm sure my rotations are not optimal at all, I would love to see a guide for him!

Would u recommend neko/piper/nicole or neko/piper/anby? Thank you for the guide, I already followed u for hsr chives but now zzz guides too! I would like anby and nicole guides since everyone gets them for free. Any other free characters would work too but that's my preference.

I would suggest the Neko, Piper, Nicole team as Piper on her own already deals a ridiculous amount of stun, so much so that you would find little use for Anby with her already in the team.

The bit of this i dont understand is in the rotation - how do you stop it wanting to cycle from Lucy round to Piper again? When I go Piper -> Neko -> Lucy it wants me to go back to Piper and I end up having to sit staring at a chain bar going down.

I didn't want to main nekomata, but i didn't get a choice. I got nekomata from my beginning banner then my very next 10 pull was another nekomata, and piper, and pipers signature engine. And 2 or 3 pulls after that i got 2 more piper and a copy of pipers signature. So as you can see the game is basically screaming at me to main nekomata.

I’m curious if I should assign Piper and Lucy with Neko or Soldier 11.. If the latter, would Billy + Nicole be better or Anby + Nicole better? I understand how Billy can be helpful with Assault, but I already built Anby more.. so is it worth building Billy at this point..?

Yes, Anby is perfectly fine for that slot. I had forgot to mention that the reason i put Billy in there was that this team should be running with the Bangvolver Bangboo which requires 2 Physical characters to activate. If you run with Anby, you can slot in a different bangboo.

I still can't beat floor 7 in shiyu defense using neko/piper/lucy and ellen/lycaon/soukaku teams. The elemental requirements are crazy there. Considering leveling Anby and Nicole a little so they could just shred the shield or something

Corin requires too much field time, you're better off going with Billy+Nicole or Anby+Nicole

8:42 when the assist button is quickly blinking on the bottom right. It's a part of some characters' kits like lucy or soukaku. It also happens when your active character is launched back by a big attack but you should be avoiding getting hit anyways lol

Yes, that could work with Anby in the second slot. The aim here would be to swap Anby in to build some stun, swapping her out via a Parry into Piper who can finish off the stun with her EX combo. The awkward thing about this however is that landing the stun will end Piper's EX skill prematurely which means you won't get both Assaults off in the rotation.
