I see WTD were established in 1999 what did you guys do before the Van stuff?
@WeldtecDesigns Жыл бұрын
WeldTec Designs has always been focused on off-road suspension. In recent years we saw the need for better van and RV options and decided to direct our full focus in that area

Is welding the bracket required for both the modified and extended radius arms or only the extended?

How about a pivoting radius arm option
@WeldtecDesigns Жыл бұрын
Do youmean on a heim? The radiusr arms to currently pivot on a bushing.
@Agentlowe Жыл бұрын
Are these arms available to purchase without the kit? If not, can you make them available, possibly a limited run. Thanks
@WeldtecDesigns Жыл бұрын
Our extended radius arms are intended to function specifically with our kits.

Do you have a recommended choice for caster bushings after an install? My WTD kit wasn't installed by you and I had a hard time finding local shops that even understood caster settings on E-series. Eventually my local Ford dealer was able to handle it. I had asked for over 5 and the closest they were able to get it was +4.9. I don't know enough about it to understand if that was an absolute limit or if it was just due to the bushings they had on hand. It made a huge improvement, but like anything I always wonder if it could be even better.

Can't wait to get my Grocery Getter for my Ford Transit van. Do you have anything for duallies? I have a 2019 350HD dually.
I’m so torn between a UJoint 4x4 conversion and this Weldtec Designs 2WD kit for my class c motorhome. Don’t want to get stuck in desert sand and don’t want to pay the additional $15k for Ujoint 4x4.

It boils down to person preference, and budget. We stand by our kits and see customer submitted photos daily of WTD equipped Class Cs in amazing off grid locations. Give us a call if you're on the fence and we'd be happy to walk you through it in detail. 619-596-9831

We had the same dilemma. The Ujoint kit looked amazing, but it came down to budget. For the cost of the Ujoint, we were able to do the Weldtec kit *and* a killer solar array, so I'm totally happy with our choice. After 10k miles+ with loads of really remote boondocking, we had zero issues getting everywhere we wanted to go. At some point I think a rear locker might be a nice addition, but I have yet to wish we had a 4x4. It is much more capable off-road than I expected it to be.

How does the radius arm prevent camber?
@WeldtecDesigns Жыл бұрын
The radius arm does not change camber, only the I-Beam changes in camber as it cycles.

I have a random question im wondering about regarding radius arms. I plan to get new/longer radius arms for my truck but in doing so am I also going to get a tiny bit more lift from it? Im talking like 1/4" or less. I have a 2022 ram 2500 that I installed Carli 3.25" coils on. I have a 2.5" spacer in the rear. Its not important that I get more lift I was just curious about it. Im running 35x12.50s right now on a 17" wheel with positive 8 offset but am going to go up to 37s so I know that the radius arms will definitely help get the tire a little further away from the inner fender.
