This is my first time growing snapdragons. I got some seeds from a friend. I am so excited they are about to bloom. I plan to always grow them from now on. One plant at the flowers shop is equal to upwards of $4US depending on the size. So I am very happy to start growing these because they bloom all year here in my area of Manchester, Jamaica.

On a whim I planted snapdragons last Spring. I was so surprised they survived the Winter (Southeastern Ohio) and so I started more this Spring. I have fallen in love with them. Next year, more! Thank you for the information; it was quite timely for me!

I have English Country Garden and I love snaps. I start about 700 seedlings of all kinds yearly and snaps are a favourite. My snaps get 5 feet tall and I support them with Horta Nova Netting. My trick is when I plant I put in about a tbsp of granular fertilizer and then I fertilize weekly with a water soluble fertilizer.

And I thought I grew a lot of snaps lol 😅 I'm growing 200 from seed. Do u soil block or use trays?
@dorothyleeuw87748 ай бұрын
@@serenababy6358 I do grow snaps but not all my seedlings are them. This year I think I will closer to 900. I did try soil blocking this year but luckily I did not do very many as I discovered for some reason the gnats love the soil blocks more than the trays.

I love Gazania! This is my first year to really get serious about growing flowers from seeds. The gazanias and zinnias started growing overnight and have continue to increase one half to 1 inch per day! this is very exciting and rewarding. Half of my seedlings haven’t even started to grow yet. But it’s only been four days. These guys are doing great.

Beautiful! I started my snapdragons last year from seed. They did nothing for me.mi left them alone and this year I had such a wonderful harvest! You look fabulous, Angela! Love that outfit and the colors on you. Très chic!

In the Netherlands where i live snapdragons are called Leeuwenbekjes, meaning small Lions mouths. The wild yellow ones smell so good! They grow everywhere in my environment, the east of the Netherlands.

Snaps are, as you've shown us, an incredibly beautiful flower - and they come with the enormous garden advantage of critters tending to leave them alone.

Love your videos and yes I love snapdragons! We have so many little munchers when it comes to flowers shrubs small trees especially hydrangeas! I try and stick to lavender and anything in the sage lavender family. How do you deal with deer bunnies and groundhogs eating your flowers etc? I adore Montauk Daisy's and so do the deer. I've been using a very stinky spray , and now trying a mint spray to keep the deer away.

I’m embracing the many colors snapdragons can put in my gardens! We have LOTS of deer in our neighborhood and the deer leave snapdragons alone! They constantly reseed, I replant the tops after they are done flowering( I hope this makes more plants) I just bought 12 mme Butterfly snapdragons because I just couldn’t wait! ❤️ love their texture and color they bring!

I let my little nephew pick out some seeds and he chose snap dragons ... nobody grows them around here!!! I was like ... "well, gotta learn how these work" so I started to look for videos to help. Most videos I've seen are targeted towards selling them and I just didn't understand, did nobody grow these because they were pretty? And then I came across you and THANK-YOU!!! Heck, from the other videos I didn't even understood they were annuals. XD

It is because of you I grow snapdragons. A few years ago you made a video of your front garden and I saw Potomac Appleblossom snapdragons for the first time. I start them each February and grow them in front yard and a raised bed in our small yard. They are wonderful. I overwinter the ones in the raised bed by arching PVC pipe over it and covering them in 6 ml. plastic. They did wonderfully and when I was sure no more frost, removed the cover and they took off again. Two years now and going to try for third year. I always start more cause you can never have too many snapdragons. Just ordered for next year from Johnny's. Got some new ones to try. I also saw your Lisianthus looking wonderful in the other bed. Hope you show us when they bloom. Mine have been blooming for about one month here in 7a. Thanks for showing us your new garden area. It is beautiful.

I grew white, pinks, and apple blossom snapdragon along with some other annuals and roses for my daughter's wedding in late June. Because of our cold spring some of the flowers didn't quite bloom in time. Most of the snaps made it!🥰 The beauty of it is I am enjoying them all summer now 😊. Thank you for the snapdragon tutorial. I learned some great information. Really appreciate it. We have 2 sons both married and our daughter is our youngest and now married. I'm blessed with beautiful daughters in law and son in law. But ohhhh, I'm an empty nester and it hurts so bad. I'm so glad you enjoy your children. Blessings to you.
