In this video, I travel to Tulum, Mexico, with my friend, Nick! We spent six days in Tulum with a car rental. We also went to Chichen Itza, Punta Laguna, Valladolid, and Sian Ka'an. Some of these areas are not well described online, so hopefully this video can help you decide what you'd like to do on your next trip to Tulum.

How much did you pay for the liability insurance per day? We're going to Tulum in 60 days and already secured the reservation through Hertz at the airport. ThankA

I'm trying to look at our receipt - in total we paid $6820.69 mxn pesos for 6 days which is about $347 USD. I think without insurance it was something around $200 USD. The problem with liability is that if we didn't purchase their insurance, we would've had like a $1000 USD deposit which I was too nervous about because neither of us have driven in Mexico before and don't know how it would be (pretty calm for the most part!). And if purchased insurance it would've been only like a $300 deposit, so I was more comfortable with that even though we had to get the insurance. Hope that helps! And enjoy your trip to Tulum!
