specific chests give you a random item in that category. The cylindrical chests give wand handles, the polygon/pentagon type chests give a random decoration piece, and the kind of small cast iron type chests (typically found in enemy camps) give a random trait.

Might want to mention you can't just buy the breeding pen whenever you want. It is locked behind one of Deek's quests and doesn't show up until you are directed to purchase it from Tome and Scrolls during said quest.

I wish you could make money better, like shiny beasts sold for more so breeding them for shiny babies was more worth it, or shiny ones gave more materials, or recharged faster on the timers or something. Plus, I wish you could SELL the materials you don't need too, would be another great way to make money. Selling a puffskein for 120 shmecks and then also a shiny albino graphorn or a golden unicorn for 120 shmecks as well feels pretty unbalanced.

Yeah it’s crazy to me that you only get 120 for a Unicorn. I also wish you could sell beast parts because I have a ton of unicorn hair, which seems like I should be able to sell for a lot of money. Though honestly I’m at the end of the game and I’ve got 40k money and nothing else to really spend on outside of the final broom upgrade.

@@CreativeGamingKZbinthey most likely don’t have other beasts for more because then we would all be only hunting the one beast that costs the most which would be exactly poaching and it would make the other beasts around it unless to rescue at least this way everything is even for all the beasts which is better for everything to be fair since all the beasts are useful and no one gets left out of making us money. Plus if we sell 6 or more of each of 12 of the beasts then the 120 gold adds up super fast.

@@jaweiss34selling animal parts would make more sense than having the beasts cost more since their fur- feathers would most likely go for more and we should be able to sell extras of stuff we don’t need since we can also obtain back what we don’t need and we don’t need to go hunting for 1 specific beast by itself for money we should be able to sell extra gear and extra ingredients we don’t need that makes more sense all the beasts can stay at 120 gold though since the rare beasts give us the same materials as the original ones so it’s not worth it to have the rare ones cost more since they don’t give us materials we don’t already have all the nifflers give us niffler fur but the beasts themselves don’t have to cost more their fur-feathers can However be arranged to cost more since we can gather alot of that super quickly with no problem and should be able to sell it. Plus alot of the vendors only have the fur and feathers of certain animals in small amounts where as we get like 999 or more of fur-feathers from certain animals 24/7 there is a price system for a different version of the game for the animals furs -feathers they just didn’t put into all Versions of the game one of the feathers goes for like 700 gold if we would a lot to sell it and some of the furs or feathers go for like 200 gold but for some reasons they don’t want us to sell furs- feathers of the animals probably because everyone would do the 700 gold and 500 gold in the eyeball chests to make money while getting extra money elsewhere

I went around to every floo flame location on the map on my broom, pressing revelio every now and then. Highlands and hamlet field guide pages/collections chests will literally just appear on the map. Their exact location. You don't have to unlock the South part of the map, you just *have* to go through a tunnel.

Pretty much as long as you have 3 of each beast (other than the Pheonix and graphorn obviously) you’ll be set. I usually have a male and a female and then I breed them for the third (they give the same amount as the adults) And then usually what I do is whenever I play this game, I’ll try to make sure before I get off that I end in the room of requirement and take care of the animals so that you’ll always have enough for upgrades. Once you get to level 30-ish, don’t be afraid to just start upgrading your gear as much as you want. Better gear gets a little more scarce and you’ll never run out of materials as long as you have 2 or 3 of each beast - even if you don’t take care of them as much.

one other trick is when hunting beasts or picking locks turn your game play difficulty down to story mode to skip the internal mini games (extra clicks), then just turn it back to your normal game play difficulty level for combat.

you don't even need the diricawl, just go buy legendary equipment from shop and use the reload method to farm for the specific tier 3 material you are looking for. legendary gear gives so much extra stats and the tier 3 traits gives so much extra bonuses compare to tier 2 that it makes it not worth wearing anything below a legendary by the time the loom is available

there is a type of chest. the round barrel shaped are wand boxes. the house shaped are for decorations and the rest is gear. Except for the camp boxes which all contain upgrades for your gear

You didn’t mention while laying the floor tiles that you can hit up on the D pad and it will make a very large tile. You can change the sizes of some things in that way.

I came across a glitch when unlocking the big bronze reward chests and your inventory is full, it will open the chest but you can’t get the item and it doesn’t disappear off the map. Just sits there. Now I make sure I’m always selling or destroying items :-(

I only did the upgrades after I finished the story as that's the kind of thing that's for end game. then you get to the end game and there is nothing to do... :( yes I have 100% complete the game and only missing 5 achievements on steam. sigh. I can confirm that Unicorns and Thestrals don’t seem to like being around each other. My Unicorn kept going up to my Thestral and was acting like it was warning the Thestral off. It happened multiple times and every time it happened the Thestral would run away. So I just kept them apart. I didn’t notice any other issues so far. Hippogryph doesn’t seem to have any problems with Thestrals.

The dark one Thestral, Kneazle, Mooncalf and Purple Toad. The final one has the Pheonix, Graphorn, and Unicorns. I really like Unicorns so I have them in both if the grasslands. Haven’t noticed any issues with anything though I’m thinking about switching the toads to the beach and the Fwooper to the first grassland one

Yeah this game was an amazing Single Player game. Once you get done with its kind of like what next? Different storyline and paths you can take based on actions in game would allow for a lot of replay ability. Sort of like Knights of the Old Republic

How do you unlock the extra active beast slots in the Vivarium because I'm only allowed to add 4 beasts, and when I try to add a fifth beast, I get a pop-up window telling me I have to sell more beast in the "Blood and Peck" store to add more active beasts?

@RTSchramm:you can’t have 5 beast species in one vivarium there’s only 12 slots in the 4 vivariums and the 4 vivarium can only hold 4 different kinds of beasts between 12 spots. You’d have to take a beast out and keep it in the nab sack aka switch out beasts if you want a different beast in there the 4 vivariums are limited and can only hold 4 different beast kinds between 12 spots you can’t have more than 12 beasts in there at a time of 4 different beast kinds. The vivarium wont let us do more than 4 beast kinds In all 4 vivariums and each of the 4 vivariums can only hold 12 beasts total the vivarium isn’t big enough to do more than 12 active beasts even if you have 3 beast kinds in there and all 12 spots filled up you won’t be able to add a 4th one. Just like you can’t add a 5th the max beast number per all 4 vivariums is 4 different kinds of beasts in 12 active spots you have to do a lot of switching out if you want other beasts in there but you can’t do 5 species in one vivarium you can only do 4 because there’s 13 beasts total and you get 4 vivariums total so you get 3 extra vivariums after the first one by doing 3 more quests for deek all 13 animals do fit in the vivariums you just have to do them 4 Species at a time so some of the beasts are split between 2 vivariums like hippogriffs for example can go in both the coastal and grassland vivariums. The 4 vivariums being limited is exactly the problem with the vivariums they don’t give us more than 12 spots and it’s capped off at 4 different species for all 4 vivariums

@RTSchramm:the 4 vivariums have a horrible organizing system since they only give us 12 spots and almost all of the animals come in different colors And variations the nifflers have like 8 or more colors I can’t remember the exact number for colors for nifflers but still and the 4 vivariums only give us like 12 spots for the 4 different kinds of species we decide to put in there the vivariums would be better by a lot if they gave us at least way more than 12 spots since the 12 spots fill up super fast by doing 4 different species in sets of 2 the adults take up like7 or 8 out of the 12 spots then last 4 spots is alot of switching out between adult and baby animals since they also expect us to take care of baby animals yet they only give us 12 spots in the vivarium we only get eventually like 30 extra spots after the original 20 spots in the nab sack to make a total of 50 some spots in the nab sack overall but vivarium and nab sack wise is a horrible organizing system since we eventually run out of room in both all 4 vivariums and the nab sack and we are stuck making a lot of trips to the brood and peck when all 4 vivariums are full and when the nab sack is full

The 4th vivarium in unlocked once you complete the pheonix quest from Deek. In order to do that just progress through the main storyline enough and it will pop up as a side quest once you’ve gotten far enough.

Yes he is right. Onece you unlock magical beasts you should unlock the ability to purchase the recipe for Tomes and Scrolls, if not continue the main story line and it should unlock!

Until you have all the vivariums unlocked, it's a good idea to keep one male & one female of species in your knapsack if they're not in a vivarium...mitigate collecting new beasts. Unless you rrreally need the coin.

I got insanely lucky and got the golden unicorn while doing the mission for Hazel the Unicorn. I was so thrown off because I thought that Hazel was the golden unicorn so when the game said I still needed to rescue her I was like uhh I did though? About fantastic beasts. It was an incredible journey and experience. It was so interesting to explore the world and look for fantastic beasts. But I think it was too difficult, I didn't find a single fantastic beast. Please can you just put the fantastic beasts in the vivarium in the next part of the game, it's really too hard and too much fun to search for them.

The Phoenix was never breedable in Hogwarts lore it produces an egg in its ashes when it dies thats how they reproduce so well done to devs for doing there homework
