So true about oil temp. We should have a neon sign made for the rear window, that can be turned on/off by a switch. "Oil Temp Low - Please Pass" People probably wonder why we are driving like an ancient grandma but the oil is just cold at the moment haha

I'm glad someone else mentioned this. New ST owner here and I stay below 3k and out of boost until oil temp is on the gauges but it takes a long ass time to warm up - even in Texas ffs lol Glad to know it's not just me 😂👍

@@dickhitswater4836 I still own the ST actually and I will say that the coolant temp warms up super fast so I get warm air almost instantly.. The oil on the other hand.. I gotta wait awhile before I can romp on her before she's warm. Most cars don't have a oil temp gauge, just a water temp.

Bought a 2017 FoST brand new and had it for 3 and a half years until I traded it in for a new Mustang a couple of months ago. I out 83K miles on it and not a single problem out of it. It was slightly modified and I beat the shit out of that car. As long as you do your maintenance and you don't over modify it and be too aggressive on the tune trying to get every bit of HP you can then it is a very reliable car.

@craigdettmer3566

That is a good step in the right direction, you should still not just let you car sit there and idle to warm up in the cold. This makes the process delayed and oil does not get to where it needs to be. Something to research too.

Reliability? They are pretty bulletproof. You're confusing the ST with a regular Focus with the DCT automatic. Totally different.

Who did you buy thru? I'm in the process of buying one from a dealer without actually sitting in it and driving it and getting a shipper to deliver it. Was that how you bought yours? I've never bought a car like that before.

Nayt I have the same spec st in California and had it shipped from Texas. I’ve gotten a bov and had the resonator and muffler deleted and it runs great and feels way better then stock. St has no exhaust sound really and has zero idle sound but after the few modifications there are all types of sounds now from the bov to the exhaust to the intake.
