Just a small correction, Tengen is either a woman or agender. Akutami has a lot of non-binary and agender characters in their work and if I remember correctly there's not a single time Tengen is referred to as anything other than "Tengen", no pronouns given. Edit: Another thing, Geto is not a Shikigami user, he's a Curse user which innate cursed technique is swallowing and dominating cursed spirits. Shikigami are a little different but the most important part is that they're not cursed spirits, while Geto's summons are.

Mechamaru also has a Heavenly Restriction, which kinda goes into how you... kinda mislabeled it? Heavenly Restriction isn't exactly a technique that you can activate at will. It's essentially a binding vow sometimes created upon your conception that weakens one aspect of you while strengthening the other. The forms we see are all balancing physical ability with cursed energy. Toji and Maki both have all of their cursed energy erased in exchange for a hilariously overpowered physical body (although Maki's was originally gimped due to twin shenanigans making her still technically possess some cursed energy), while Mechamaru basically has glass bones and paper skin in exchange for a massive amount of cursed energy and an incredible range for controlling said cursed energy (it's how he handles all of his robots). It is _very possible_ that other types of Heavenly Restriction also exist, but they haven't exactly been shown off or spoken of yet.

Thank you for being a content creator that acknowledges the queer coding of those two that makes it possible to read it as a romantic story. Sometimes the debate about this topic can be so black or white and people treat people that see them as queer as if they were making stuff up. Of course it would be perfectly beautiful as a story about platonic soulmates but I think the anime adaptations (both S2 and JJK 0) goe very heavy handed with the hinting. The thing about “prequels” is that there’s not much “new” stuff you can introduce without introducing “really new” stuff. You can put someone’s in PERIL because we know that, well, they survived. To everyone saying Tengen is a woman, I know you are desperate to fish for your little non-binary LGBT stuff, but even the slightest research would show you 3 things: 1. Tengen is a male name. 2. Everyone calls him master, not mistress. Those two terms cannot be used interchangeably, they are specifically assigned to genders. 3. One of the arguments people use to say Tengen is a women is that all Star Plasma Vessels are women - wrong. Page 202, SPV on the left looks very much like a man. I'm not saying Tengen is a man, but stop trying to correct someone and assign a sex to a character when even the author has left them ambiguous.
