As an A̶b̶s̶t̶i̶n̶e̶n̶t̶ M̶o̶n̶k̶ Terminal-Stage Coomer type, the whole kid angle isn't in the cards for me, but conversely, just as the births of loved ones make Xenoblade 3 hit different, Xenoblade 3 makes the deaths of loved ones also hit different. I would be in a MUCH darker place in the aftermath of my losses if not for that game.

You got to remember Shulk died as kid and was brought back to life by Zanza when they found the monado. Xenoblade Protags tend to die for some reason at the beginning of there games/stories

If you don't remember the end of 2 much like you said, and are willing to see how you reacted, I'd definitely watch it. Your reaction to finding out the architects other half is Zanza (from Shulk's "Today, we use our power to fell a god, and seize our destiny!" line) is priceless. Such a cool way to demonstrate that 1 and 2 were happening simultaneously. Plus, the escape cutscene is one of my favorite sequences in all of Xenoblade. (Around 1:05:00 in your "thus boy met girl" xc2 vid is getting Aion to half hp to trigger that cutscene, then could skip the rest of the fight to watch the ending cutscene) I cry everytime, can't handle sad Poppi

I don’t know if you got this but the trinity processor, the ai klaus used to control the conduit, pneuma, logos and ontos are pyra and mythra obviously, malos is logos, and Alvis is ontos

I think it makes sense to call them flesheaters in terms of tone, they were marked as cannibals by society, it is linguistically designed to sound wrong.

also is implied in the scene Jin reads the lost diary that the primal method to become flesh eater is to eath hes driver's heart, witch Jin did to Lora when Indol with Mor Ardain attacked Torna country in the end of DLC, then Judicium and Indol developed ways to do it without killing the driver.

By society? By their actions. Flesh-eaters quite literally eat their drivers, it's how the semi-eternal life hack works, they're essentially keeping their driver "alive" within themselves, acting as a life support system to their driver's heart, which in turn keeps them alive instead of returning to the crystal. If anything, "blade-eater" is the misnomer, drivers don't eat the core crystal, merely implant a piece of it into themselves.

This is perfect timing. Get fully into XC3 in December so you have 3 months to rest and get hyped for Xenoblade X when it drops in March. And X is not as heavy on the store and lore so it should be a fun game for you. Many call X a dry run for Zelda Breath of the Wild since it has a similar open world concept.

The backstory lore on the Siren box is basically a repeat of Xenogears and Xenosaga's backstory with the Zohar and interstellar war, reworked for Xenoblade. They just didn't incorporate that information into the games or Monado Archives lore book or the Xenoblade 2 art book.

There was really nothing in the opening of that video that was a spoiler in any way, just contained pre-release trailer shots of XB3 and said Xenoblade X has no connections to the trilogy and how it's also not directly connected to Xenogears or Xenosaga's stories, that's it. At the end of the video all they're doing is repeating one fact about XB3 that we learned in those trailers and showed more trailer shots. That's it. You could've easily watched that and gotten only one of the facts that the trailers tell us about the game, that 3 further ties 1 and 2 together and is the culmination of the trilogy.

I think in terms of gameplay that XC3 incorporates the best elements from each of the previous games. So I hope you thoroughly enjoy the experience. Despite what the back seaters may say is best, the customization so robust that there are many legitimate but different play styles available. If I may, I might share two bits of advice. 1. If micro-managing is not your thing, don't be afraid to use the auto-build feature. One of the VAs (Harry McEntire) had never played any of the series, and he did quite well using the auto-build. 2. There's no shame in watching a tutorial or two off-screen (e.g. chain attacks). I don't think you will need to, but if you ever get frustrated it might be worth a few minutes of your time. I say this not to silence some of the more obnoxious comments but to maximize your enjoyment. Make it your own. I think I can speak for others when I say that we want to see _your_ version of the journey. Also, the XC2 recap hits me differently since we adopted a puppy and I was able to persuade my wife and kids to name her Poppi. She is as sweet and rebellious as her namesake. Hyped!!

one thing im not sure was mentioned is that alvis and ontos are one in the same technically making him an aegis like mythra and malos, in the original XB 1 i think he had a key on his necklace but in the remaster they changed it to a red conduit core to match mythras green and malos's purple cores

All of the Face names are after colors. Green Face, Black Face, Gold Face. In English Green is known as Jade, Black is known as Metal, Gold Face is known as Yaldabaoth in both versions, Xord is also known as "Mysterious Face" in Japanese. If I remember correctly, in the English script they also refer to Nemesis as a "silver faced mechon", Xord as the "bronze faced one", Yaldabaoth is also referred to as golden somewhere I think, and then on the Mechon Arm there's a location called the "Black Wreckage", Metal/Black Face's remains. Localizers likely didn't catch that, hence why it wasn't changed to "Metal Wreckage".

I watched the original Video, the Xenoblade 3 scenes really aren’t that wild since they are all cut out from the trailers from back then… no sound no subtitles, they just play randomly as he talks over ‘what Xenoblade 3 will then hold for the connection of the other games’. I mean Xenoblade 1 spoiled itself constantly with the Visions. Watching these scenes without context is the same as the Visions. I mean if you look at Shulks first ever Vision in the game in retrospect, he sees pretty much the endgame with Egil and all🤣. But no context makes them harmless in such quick blibbs

Torna is very important to the story of 2, but imo, Xenoblade 2 SPOILS Torna if you finish it before finishing Torna. I personally prefer the having people jump from 2 just before the game spoils Torna's ending, play through it, and then come back to 2.
