I really loved the 4 years of owning my iPhone 12 Pro Max, with only minor hardware problems and I’ve recently upgraded to a 16 Pro Max which was a well deserved decent upgrade. Through its lifetime it suffered water damage to LCD display which dropped my battery life 82% before parting ways.

iPhone 12 I think is still a pretty decent iPhone, especially if it’s just for light tasks and you don’t need anything fancy. It’s got all the modern features like 5G, WIFI-6, dual camera. And it has a modern iPhone design with flat edges, so it doesn’t look old.

I'm not a big iPhone user. So I was thinking about getting one for my Kids a Job for the Eco system. Would this iPhone do?

For a kid its a good phone. I think they would appreciate it for sure! It should last another 2 major iOS updates and then 2 years of app support updates. So about 4 years of use.

Yes, this phone is still plenty powerful it runs very smoothly. Apple will support this phone for at least another 2 or 3 years.
