I have the same scanner. Works great. I use Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo software. Just found (today) another software that removes the background by only two clicks. remove.bg. There's a free trial. I'm gonna look into it later. Integrates with Ps too.

You can, but a scan is much better quality. No, I don't know much about screen, I send my digitized files to my printer.
