It is a shame that you were not raised bilingual. The biggest problem I get is that when I misptonounce Albanians do not guess what I am trying to say. That apart Albanians are very pleased when I try. I hope that you enjoy the challenge. It will improve your English as grammar is important in Albanian

@@tjdagoat.4050 I have actually learned so much, my speaking isn't the best. I can have a basic conversation and understand things, I can read really well, and sing my favourite songs like a native 😂 I don't know if I will ever be fluent though. I'm thinking about getting married and moving to Albania rather than staying in the UK, that will make a huge difference. I have spent a lot of time learning, it has been a challenge that's for sure.

You don't have a really strong Irish accent either. A Scottish accent speaking albanian is hilarious but you are correct albanians think it sounds cute. I have followed the same learning path as you more or less, I have done every app available, paid for online courses, books, TV, movies you name it, I had a flashcard app on my phone and added words to cards as I went, they would remind me every few days with some sets. found a tutor online like you called Gerta, fell away from it after a while. There is a channel on here, he has free courses on here. I spoke to him quite a bit, he is lovely and really helpful.

When i was in Colombia studying Spanish, my instructor told me I needed to date a Colombiana and it will help me learn. I didn't while there and regret it. Did you start dating your BF after starting, i think you said. Did it help?
