Hiking Nevado Santa Isabel was our first time on a Colombian glacier... and we were SHOCKED! It went from being as rainy as possible to absolutely gorgeous blue skies with snow covering everything. One of the best days ever!

p.s. how many hours is the hike, and where does it begin?

It takes about 9 hours total and you start in los Nevados National Park! Takes a 4x4 to get to the park from Pereira or Manizales though.

Did you go on a guided trip? If so, which company did you go through?

Yes! It’s mandatory to go on a guided hike, as far as we know. We did it with Montañas Colombianas.
