Hi Carrie! I would like to send in some questions. How do you pick a journal? Where do you buy your journals? How do you start a journal? I started my first journal on January 19, 2022 and I just jumped right in. I am going to finish my journal in a few days and don’t really know where I’m going to start? How do you end a journal? This kind of relates to my last question but I’m going to finish it next week and want to make it special. When will you make another reading your diary video? The first part inspired me because one day I wanted to reread these entries. How do you much such great content? You make such great videos and I love you!

Personally, for me on how I started journaling, I felt like my life was falling apart. My friends and family didn’t have time for me or I felt they were against me. This is when I realized, and went to the doctor for, I had serve depression and anxiety. I felt like I had no one to talk to about all my troubles and worries. I would stay up every night crying to myself and hating the way I was/am. So, I started to write in a journal. I’ve been writing since, and that was in 2018. It became a very healthy habit for me when I was and still go into my dark places, instead of other things I could have done. I’m happy I choose a healthy habit, and I know I’ll be writing in journals for the rest of my life.

I'm 13 and I've been journaling for about half a year now (I started in january) and before that, one day in November last year I noticed, like, "oh! I've journaled every day this week!". Back then that was such a huge number (lol) and that's when I found your channel and realized people actually journaled every day, and it inspired me to continue doing so as a new years resolution. I usually end my entries with "CLOSED AT [time]." If i have to step away from the entry for a while I'll write in lowercase: "closed at [time]" and then when i come back I'll write "opened at [time]" right under it and just keep writing. And starting an entry, it depends on the format of the journal. If the journal has a specific place for the date i'll obviously write the date and then I'll write in capital letters at the top: "[DAY OF WEEK], [TIME]" And then anything special above it. But if it doesn't have a place for the date I'll write: "[DAY OF WEEK], [MONTH], [DAY], [YEAR]" And then the time above it.

I end my entries with a prayer list and a gratitude list and they end where they end, I end my journals with "to be continued" or El Fin. I also scrapbook in my journal for memories.

Hey Carrie, u probably won’t see this but something that I tried when I was stuck on what to write in my journal is 2 highs and a low of my day. I did this bc then even if I feel like I had a rlly boring day, I still am forced to pick out little things about my day. I’ve also used this when I feel like I had the absolute worst day ever. I know it’s normal to have rlly bad days, but I want to try to have more of a positive outlook on my day by picking out 2 things, even if they are rlly little things like “I texted my friend today and that was rlly nice”, at least I can find Something about my day that was nice. You can try this idea, share it on ur channel if ppl are stuck, or just completely ignore it, but whatever you do Tysm for reading this! Luv ur vids so much!

Hey Miss gurl I hope you’re well. I love your videos about journaling and stuff, but I feel it kind of makes you seem 2D. Don’t get me wrong I love your journaling videos .You just seem like an interesting person. I heard you curse in one of your videos this one time and I couldn’t help but laugh. It was in a good way. Hey!! I actually really appreciate this comment a lot, and I appreciate you pointing that all out! I enjoy showing more of my day to day life, especially during the school year when I have a little bit more to show. I haven’t done a vlog in a little bit since my summer life isn’t as interesting. I’m mostly just working a lot at my EMT job but I can’t really show any of that haha! I do like balancing in some more of the non-journaling stuff during the school year while still maintaining some privacy and not posting my whole life online. Anyway, it’s quite refreshing to hear you say that all though because most of the comments I get are about wanting more journaling videos. And I really appreciate the constructive criticism, as well! My life is far from perfect, so I’d definitely like to do a better job at not making it come across that way (while again, maintaining privacy). I’ll definitely have to keep that all in mind about showing more than just journaling! Thanks for the comment!!

I know I'm a year late but I have to say... How can journaling be something childish??? Some of the best historical records and personal insights comes from diaries and journals: Anne Frank, Virginia Woolf, Sylvia Plath, Murasaki Shikibu, Sei Shonagon, Astrid Lindgren, Samuel Pepys, Queen Victoria, Edward VI (the son of Henry VIII), Lars Norén. Shortly before WWII, in Britain, a project called "Mass Observation" started which recruited ordinary people to write journals and record their ordinary lives for posterity. Whoever said journaling is childish is a poor unfortunate fool.
