i am currently in community college and after this spring semester i will have my associates degree. i'm planning on transferring to virginia tech in the fall of this year!! :)and i know deadlines are coming up for transfer students, so you should totally make a video on your experience applying to colleges/what you wrote your essays about because personally i have no idea what i am doing and would love to hear from u!!

Its great to see you are loving it at VT! I’ll actually be a freshman at VT in fall 2020. Im an architecture major. Does your dorm have A/C ? Which dorms have A/C if you know because I know thats an issue sometimes. Also random...but ngl, important question...what’s your opinion on the campus coffee? 🤣

Hey I go to Tech too so I can answer some of your questions. So some of the dorms have AC and some do not, but you can easily figure out which dorms those are on the VT website. Keep in mind that some dorms (like Peddrew-Yates for example) keep the AC on for the hotter months towards the beginning and end of school but then turn it off around October-ish bc it starts getting cold then. There’s a lot of good places to get coffee on campus! There’s a Dunkin’ super close to the dorms that a lot of people go to and there’s also a place called Deets that is really good. If you happen to be downtown and want coffee I recommend either Idego Coffee or Bollo’s Cafe. Since you’re an architecture major you’ll be spending a lot of time in a building called Cowgill Hall, which is close to Johnston Student Center, which has a Seattle’s Best Coffee inside (I’ve never been so I can’t tell you how good it is tho). Go Hokies!!

Thank you so much!! Are you in a regular dorm or suite? I was considering a suite so I get to know More people during my first semester. However I also heard its a good idea to keep the door open while you’re there to meet people, but suite may isolate you a bit. At the same time the suite has the mini living room so i can have A few more people over. So im clearly still deciding. Which do you prefer if you’ve heard anything from people in suites and dorms?
